That's FFIII (for snes) to those not familliar with the crazy number system they had setup. But for those who have played it, many MAY agree that it is the best FF out there. Personalised characters, pre and post apocalyptic worlds, moogles, espers, ninjas, you name it, its in this game. Awesome story, awesome gameply, and even great music. This is the FFVI appreciation forum! :D
 
I must say I am very fond of this FFIII.

Some of my favorite parts were:

Figaro going underground for the first time.
The whole "Celes replaces the Opera singer" incident.
Climbing Fanatics tower.
Going to get odin and then later on Raiden.
Hunting the 8 Dragons.
The Arena.
Getting Locke Back in the world of ruin.

Lotsa good times with that game.

Anyone here remember what an Intangir is?

Strange invisible monster on Triangle Island that would randomly cast Meteor on your party. Can't recall exactly how you kill it (was something simple), but it gave an ungodly ammount of MP for a random monster.

Vlishgnath's geek skill rises .2 points!

And yeah, this is largely regarded as the best Final Fantasy, if not the best RPG ever.

I am not one to disagree.

My gut reaction is the Colosseum, but I think that's wrong.

Steal them from Dragons in the Floating Continent. I THINK. I know I remember stealing one from a Dragon type.

For some reason locke is my favorite character. I dont know why exactly. He has steal so that makes him cool, but other than that all hes got going for him is his 'treasure hunting' ability.

Locke was my favourite character. Easily the most charisma and wicked ass music. I know, thread Necromancy.

This had a great story. This one and the IV were the best ones but that's because they were part of a good RPG era on the SNES..lol. Sadly, not many people would ever touch FFIV or FFVI because of the concern about graphics.

Graphics {No thanks}. I don't care at all about graphics O.o the story, characters, battle system, thats where its all at.

Same with me..... however, I've known people who just started at FFVII and won't go back to the play the other ones.

I slapped my friend for not even going past the introduction of FFIV. He saw the graphics on the airship after they sacked Mysidia and said, I couldn't handle the bad graphics... *sigh*
 
FFIV, FFV, and FFVI were the best trilogy in my opinion. They ALL had SUCH awesome stories and gameplay. OH and Music too. *starts humming Locke's theme*

I dressed up as Locke for Grade 11 Halloween.

But that was before Cosplay was invented so it's okay.

Not bad! But I don't see why Sabin isn't in there, he's a GOD of Destruction....And Celes should be in the second ter as well. (I'd have Locke, Celes, Sabin, and...hard choice...probably Terra as my first group personally)

Sabin is ok but he lacks speed. Bum Rush will do 9999 damage after I build him up of course. His Mantra Blitz is also usefull. Cyan's Swd. Techs take too long to initiate so I'll just give him Genji Gloves so hell do two attacks for 9999. Relm has the highest Magic Power in the game but she cant take hits, of course I'll level her ^^. The reason I gave Setzer the Offering is due to crowd control. Doom darts instant kill is fun and otherwise hed just be a mediocre character even with fixed dice. Of course if I wanted to I could just slow down the game and get 777 with slots ^_~ Shadow is going to be my speed character no doubt. I'll give him lots of throwing items and focus on speed.
