We probably won't start until after 9PM EST since that's when the kids get to bed, so unless you join us for 30 mins I don't think you'll be available. :/

Just to kinda clarify this, it isn't inherently obvious due to the stupid way this forum works, but her original post was an edit done immediately after posting something else first. It wasn't the original content, but due to the fact that there's no "Last Edited" thing that shows up if you edit your post in under a minute or two it makes it look like that was just the original content of the post, which it wasn't. I think that's leading to confusion and making the post content a bit misunderstood.

I hope everything is clarified now, I hate to see in-fighting in my FuzzyNapalm posse and definitely don't wanna see it on the actual board. :( This is like my mecca away from the stupidity of work and well, the rest of qcdn lol.

Not so funny story.

We get 5 AGer's and a pickup WHM (Keeblerx) to go merit in Bhaflau on the Isle. The idea is to kill Mamool Ja. The WHM holds us up for about 30 minutes as we wait in zone for him. After we've been in the zone for a bit he arrives just about the same time another pt does. Despite the fact that I say in party "camp here", he takes it upon himself to run down to the bottom of the gully (for Greater Colibri, where there is no convenient way back up to the Mamools) and say "This is a good camp and it's open."

Well, we are stuck now, so we head down there. It takes us all of 2 minutes to decide this and to get there. By that time the other pt has set up there and is pulling, not to mention a 3rd pt is killing the Mamool now.

Mind you, we were in the zone first and our WHM was at the camp waiting when the other pt starting killing, AND we starting killing about 30-60 seconds after them, yet I spend the rest of our time there, short as it was, fending off Gunnerx bitching to me in /tells about how we were "camping on top of them". Then the whm leaves after about 20 minutes of pt. We got about 10k exp in about an hour, which isn't bad for our pt (rdm, nin, war, mnk, thf); plus just me pulling against an entire cannon pt. That allowed me to raise Elemental Magic Skill another point, and we left.

I'm taking bets as to whether I get flamed for this, lol.

I hope you do. I just need a reason today. -.^ Susan Kratz started my morning off on the wrong foot. Still trying to think of how to order faucet parts from Switzerland.
 
Well, if it's any help, your odds of finding someone who understands English in Switzerland is way, way higher than finding someone who understands German or French in the US. I found a lot of people in Europe, especially in customer service, were bi- tri- or quadra-lingual. It really hit me when I saw a hotel concierge in Rome, all in the span of 10 minutes, help us speaking in English, a French couple in French, and a German guy in German. As far as I could tell he was flawless in all 4 languages too. :shok:

Oh, and that WHM was just an overall horrendous player. I may start a flame just on him if I get bored.

lol If you get flamed for that Osse, it will just turn into another attack on a flame OP because you were so obviously not at fault. And everyone hates Gunnerx.
 
I don't really feel like starting a flameboard thread on this guy, but I'm still gonna share the story of Keeblerx with you guys.

So Wednesday night we find ourselves with 5/6 AG people for meriting. We had Bt as NIN, Osse as THF, Nae as MNK, Kron as WAR, and me as RDM. We decide we're gonna try the mamool at Tandijia Isle, so we need a whm for extra healing if we're gonna do that. We pick up Keeblerx. I'm a little skeptical cause of the stupid-ass name, but everyone deserves a shot, right?

As we're starting the move from Whitegate to the camp, Keeblerx keeps mting all kinds of shit. We ask him what's up, and he apologizes and says his linkshell is doing prime fights, and that's what the mts are about. Ok. We all get to camp, and Keeblerx is still fucking around in Whitegate. We end up waiting like 20 minutes for him to get to us.

Soon as he gets to camp, Osse says buff up and we'll get started. Keeblerx instead throws up sneak/invis and runs off, saying "I'm gonna scout the other camps". First off, the other camps have colibri, which we didn't want to fight. Secondly, the other camps are past a drop-off, which means to get back we'd have to go back to Whitegate and run back again, taking another 10 mins. But he's already off the ledge before anyone can say boo, so we're fucked. He says the camp is open, so we make the best of a shitty situation and follow him down. We didn't want to fight birds, but we sure as hell can't fight mamool now. Of course as we're dropping down the ledge Gunnerx's party is also dropping down, so we end up with 2 parties in the shitty spot the whm led us (which only really supports one camp). Lovely.

Soon as we get to camp, I send Keeblerx a /tell asking him who he wants me to haste. He never responds. I just start hasting everyone, not giving a shit if my haste overwrite any he casts. At this point it's blatantly obvious that having the WHM in this camp fighting birds makes him dead weight. He has full MP the entire time, and I rarely drop below 80%. We decide to fight wivres as well, since colibri are way easy and the other party is taking them anyway.

As we're fighting the wivres and Keeblerx has to actually start doing shit, it makes me realize how much he fucking sucks. I was already hasting everyone as it was, because he refused to coordinate with me. I never saw him cast regen on anyone. He basically only cured, and when he did he almost always used Cure 4. He NEVER cast Cure 5, only 4 and sometimes 3. He got hate at least once from doing this. Another funny tidbit is he had a Nobles tunic, yet for some reason when we started on wivres and his mp actually was less than 95%, he swapped to Vermillion cloak. My mind is still boggling at that one.

After we kill our second wivre, Keeblerx says "sorry something came up unexpectedly gotta go" and immedaitely disbands and starts teleporting out as Osse is mid-pull on a colibri. At that point we'd fought maybe a half-dozen birds and the 2 wivres when he'd ditched us. Wanna guess what the "something unexpected" was that came up? Well, I did a /sea on him about 15 minutes later and he was in Cloister of Ice. That's right, the unexpected crisis was the prime fights that he'd been MTing about a full 30 minutes ago, before any of us actually even left Whitegate and started to camp.

We ended up continuing on with just the 5 of us against birds, and do just fine because this guy really was just dead weight. The only reason we'd invited him in the first place is because we wanted to do mamool, but he screwed us out of that right at the start.
 
God, as I reread that it makes the hate come back all over again. Screw what I said, it's going on the FB.
