Hi.

Where is everyone today? I'm sick so I took the day off work and no one's here to talk to. :(

I'm talking to you on MSN...

We need a good topic to talk about here today. Any suggestions?

If you're bored and need something to talk about, reminisce about Chris Farley.

I've been putting up Christmas lights today. The good part is that the lights are done. The bad part is I can't find the extension cords that connect the lights to the outlet. >_>

We did ours yesterday, it was like a scene from Christmas Vacation. My mom tells me to get the strands separated, and they're in a giant ball. -_-

Probably not doing any lights this year. I don't really care for my neighborhood one way or the other so I never really feel inspired to participate in holidays.

We always have a fairly subdued display. There are two houses in our neighborhood, though, that are a part of the "Tacky Lights Tour". You have to have a display with a minimum of 30,000 lights to qualify. It's the most god-awful horrendous thing I've ever seen. One of the displays has a giant light-up surfing Santa, with animated light-up dolphins that leap over his head. They also run their own ham radio Christmas station out of their basement, and sometimes dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus to greet people.

The worst part is people drive from all over town to see this shit, and block up the streets in our neighborhood with cars, limos, even fucking tour buses. What a lovely way to celebrate.

I never understood the idea of touring around to look at people's lights. Most towns have their own fancy lights thing you can go to if you really want to. Just go to that and don't clog up small streets looking at shiny lights.

Little kids like it, but I don't see why adults would go around alone.

Yeah, Juliana especially loves the lights. She only has about 20-25 words that she says with any regularity, and "lights! lights!" is one of them. Oh! I just remembered where I put the extension cords, brb.

Success, they're finally lit. I finally remembered that I'd stuck the extension cords in the toolshed instead of the storage shed.

lol, sounds like a cute kid.

I other news, I'm hungry and want pizza.

I made beef stew, it's probably done by now. Osse is getting home late because he had to drive 90 mins out of his way to visit a hospitalized patient for 10 mins.

I'm not hungry, I woke up several times during the night to stomach pain. I'm still nauceous.
