I wonder what kind of a sign it is when your boss calls you to inform you that 10% of your company is about to be laid off for downsizing.
 
If they plan to lay me off then worrying about it isn't going to help. If they don't plan to lay me off then they won't. Thus, I don't care.

An email just went out to all employees. It said that as of 2pm pst (ie now) everyone should have heard from their boss if they were being terminated due to the restructuring. I wasn't told I was fired so I guess I'm not? I dunno, maybe he was just being very vague. I have a feeling I'd know if I was, so I guess not.

It turns out I'm having some software issues related to internet connectivity. It's a .dll file somewhere in Windows. I'm going to need to wipe my HD and reinstall Windows XP. This is what has been causing my periodic, random disconnects and crashes for the past 2 months.

This accelerates my plans to leave FF11, since I really don't want to reinstall that game just to play a few more weeks. I'm afraid this means I'll be gone in the next few days rather than at the end of next month.

Kinda sucks, but eh, it was coming anyways I suppose. Now I'm gonna be stuck with Rockhard all to myself on saturday night! lol
