Hi.

Wow thanks, I'll try that

Be careful about how much hot sauce you put in. I went a little overboard lol

Oh and a tip, when you're doing the actual popping part, tilt the lid a bit to help the steam escape. It keeps the popcorn more crisp. Oh also at least once during the cooking you should shake the pan over the burner to move all the popcorn around, keeps the pieces on the bottom from burning.

Too bad the stupid rate-up timers. I rated you up earlier today and can't for something dealing with food now D:

first one looks like blood in a pan lol

I'm passing on the popcorn for now...picking up take-out from my favorite Thai restaurant...luv me some Masman curry.

I had this idea I was gonna try sometime this week. I've done plain ol' curry before which is good and all but I wanted to try to make something like a.. curry burrito. It's prolly gonna fail but I'll be damned if I don't try!

We always make stovetop popcorn (I usually recruit Carl to do it because the electric stove hates me, I can make popcorn on a gas burner fine). My only concern would be with the extra virgin olive oil; at the temp the oil needs to get to in order to pop popcorn you'd be burning off any of the various things in olive oil that make it tasty. We usually use just ordinary corn oil or some vegetable blend, but if I had the money to invest into uber popcorn I'd use This stuff.

Yeah, there are better ones to use than extra-virgin olive since it's a low heat oil but it's what I have handy. I was actually thinking of trying coconut oil but that would require buying some, lulz.

Our bottle of Wesson only gets used for 2 things: baking and popcorn. And stupid me trying to use the non-shitty emote codes from another messageboard.

Rofl, that sounds awesome

Ninja edit: Tried an appetizer, Goong Houm Pa, fantastic! Shrimp stuffed with pork and crab meat all in an eggroll skin deepfried....zomg amazing

Actually, I could see how that could work. Do a chipotle-style deal, only mixing up chicken curry, that indian rice with all the spices in it, and maybe something like a saag or matar paneer in a burrito. Oh god now I'm giving myself a craving for indian food. I think I'm going to make that bread with the almonds and raisins in it for dessert if I can find the recipe.

Fucking jesus, I have to go take a final and I miss the popcorn talk!

The only thing I have to add now is that stove top popcorn is one of the best things I've ever had. No salt or butter for me though kthx!

Also all the reading about food (especially Jamal's stuff that would kill me but sounds so yummy) has made me hungry, but I have no idea what to make tonight.

It'd be worth it. It was that good.

God I bet it was. Shrimp + crab.. maybe I could do it once, just have 911 ready!

I settled on grilling pork chops. Salt + pepper and lightly BBQd, so good. Made up baked potatoes, corn, and cheesy rice too. I think this had been the best meal I've head in awhile.

Oh and popcorn for dessert.

Seriously, how can you not laugh? lol

I was seriously laughing my butt off on the 2010 thread. I can't decide whether to rate wolf up or down though lol (I've stayed undecided up until now!)
