hmmm something called tp an another thing called utsusemi <.<

thf/war > thf/nin

Nin is one of the worst subs for this job. Why do you need shadows unless you are pulling raptors or toromas? You dont. If you have good gear then tp gain will be about the same. So often I will have 20+ extra tp for WS that it would have been a lot better for me to just sub war and do more damage on he overall SC.

nin sub is great and it allows u to get much faster TP than war sub and allow u to actually steal some TP when u r pulling.

however i have to also admit that war sub's damage is much better than nin sub and i m still regreting the fact that i didn't have war sub ready when i was lvling my thf. it's now 75 and i dun think i'd have anymore chance to try it with /war .. at 75 there are like only 4 places to lvl ...

1. ulengXXXXX range... it seems like demons run faster than raptors >.>
2. KRT.... need a dagger in offhand to DW with my club...
3. weapons in sky.... whirl of rage..... -. -
4. aura staues.... war sub will shine here but most of the time we end up xping on weapons.. and there's nothing worse than being stunned when u r doing SC ; ;

all in all.. war sub is a good sub so please dun bash it without really trying it. :)

Dual Wield has an advantage outside it's haste bonus at fifty. It also has an advantage besides the stats of your offhand weapon. It's called the Hornet Needle. You know, that nice little 150 delay off-hand dagger with +1 dex and agi and 16 dmg?

While all the subs are good, anyone blatently stating that one sub > another sub is an idiot.

Heh i usually sub war with thief cuz i gotta admit.I like a 600 sata viper bite over the 400 one.Getting tp is abit slower with war sub but dude... u lose the attack boost and berserk.Sub nin when u have to pull those dinos or something otherwise war sub is nice if u have good accuracy.

but staying on topic in regards to high level noobs...

yes, the new generation of 70+ ARE STILL NOOBLINGS. whatever's available to make a decent PT, majority of them i've never seen around before. granted there ARE like 4000+ registed on this server.

but ya'll new 70ers suck really bad. however, there are some of you that show that "veteran" "aura" by not being a dumbass, not being whiny, not "gotta go my LS needs me" after 30 minutes into exp.

gawd, there's already A LOT of ppl in sky camping pop items and fighting gods... just add in the new wave of noob 70ers... going to be suckin' even more in a few months for those that have been up in sky for over a year now.

Ya know there ARE some people whom have been playing this game since the NA realease who havent gotten past LV70 yet?

and when they do, does that make them part of this noobling generation? Even though I have no problem to with you dude, this is still a very ignorant thing to say.

Almost on par when elitemage said all NA's suck is like you saying all new LV70's suck.

I know some people who have been playing for a long damn time and are yet LV70. Yet, they don't suck, or won't suck like you said.

Anyone this is just a sterotypical and prejudgice thing to say man. GJ

Who you party with and what mobs you fight will make more of a dmg difference then boost or berserk. Although why you'd sub monk after 33 is beyond me unless you're doing 5-1 as a Thief.

Then again, I don't know what level your Thief is.

The simple point though, is that the best sub varries from one occasion to another.

Uff I see my nick here. Certainly I should step in and say some words.

What made you so mad Kougaiji ?

You was sitting for hours at Jeuno doing nothing, I was in a nice 5k/hour pt. Got 18K xp with this pt. It was 5AM (I am from Europe) so I started to look for replacement. I intentionally said nothing to pt to not provoke disbanding or something. They decided to disband at very last moment and if I recall well you ptied with them a bit. So why you blame me ? I even /telled you next day and asked about this pt.

You spent 6K, lol I will send you those money (poor man who sells scorp+1 for 12mil, just saw a shoot at Jeuno a few days ago).

Now about newbs. We are from same "generation". I was at lvl 66 before
infamous update that lowered xp per lvl. You did almost same. So from this point of view you are newb too. So shut up.

I stopped at lvl 66 for a while, got Maat, sky, rank 10, then continued to lvl.

Now about thf/war against thf/nin. I honestly like thf/war very much. You should compare yourself to see strong and weak points and does not make a "theories".

thf/war hits harder, gains tp just as fast as need to do SC. One SC per fight is sufficient to kill mobs and chain them continuosly. I use martial knife now - very good boost for SB. I have no problem with pulling at all. Usually I get hit only at camp b/c of slow voke.

Klop, proud thf/war 72 (3K tnl to 73), Bastok Rank 10

I agree with Krono. Ultrasevens comment on how the new lvl70+s are all n00blings is stupid. Ive ben playing since dec 2003 and I have yet to reach 70+ Why? becasue I dont play alot, does that automatically mean im going to suck once I hit 70+ no, I dont suck. please dont generalize.

I resent your comment of all people hitting 70+ right now are n00bs. I was playing this not too long after pc release in NA. I'm currently working on my third character and know this game very well. But alot of others... I can't really speak for lol

Once again agreeing with Chpal and Krono...
I've been playing this game since NA release on the PC.
So I'm also one of those people with experience in the game but doesn't have lv.70 yet. Everyone has their own reasons. Mine was simply time because of school and work. Then I had a two month break to myself where I was like lv.60 and jumped to 69 after constant EXP parties, ENM groups, and so on. Now I'm stuck on 69 because I have a very demanding good paying job so I hardly play as much as a used to.
But I have no worries,...just like everyone else I'm just taking my time.
Its not like FFXI is gonna get shutdown tomorrow like they did to the Phantasy Star Online MMORPG which was reduced to a Card Game.

(I'm not judging the card game. I haven't played it before. For all I know some of ya may have played it, and the game may rock. Let me know if you have. ^^;)

On top of that, sometimes we can get a hankering to play as a new job.
So its understandable if our high level job stays idol while we play with another low level job.

Wait till the new expansions.... I been hearing rumors about it. A lot of people, and I even bet DDs and Tankers will jump on blue mage like the government free money.

Thf/War Works.
Thf/Nin Works.
Thf/Rng Works.
Thf/Sam Works.
Thf/Drk Works.

It all works and works well in certain situations.

If I had my War Leveled I would be using it in Rng Parties because I don't need to pull, thus I don't need Utsusemi.
If I had my Rng Leveled I woud be using it In Rng Parties Too, because the Accuracy Bonus job trait post 60 Is like having a natural Peacock Charm, Snipers', and a Life Belt, allowing me to wear a fuckload more STR and Attack gear, alowing me to do Damage Comperable/More than a Thf/War.
If I had Drk leveled I could do some pretty nasty WS damage...
If I had Sam leveled, I would be exceptionally more useful in HNM fights.

If I had all my Subs leveled, I would be a Thief.

Thf/Nin = Awesome puller, Awesome Soloer, Awesome TP gains.
Thf/War = Awesome SC Damage, Comperable TP gain, Better DoT.
Thf/Sam = Tp without TPing the mob, Garunteed Tp.
Thf/Rng = Awesom Accuracy, SC versatility, Awesome Hunters, More Flexible Equiptment Choices.
Thf/Drk = Better than Average SC damage, A job with little impact on the hate table with Expendible HP that uses abilities that use HP.

But...

Thf/OneJobOnly = n00b.

The simple point though, is that the best sub varries from one occasion to another.

These two are right on the money, although I'm sure our preferences on our favorite subs are different. I definitely enjoy having 5 subs ready for thief, although I tend to favor /war and then /nin. But I don't like /nin for hornet needle, I hate that thing personally :P

And the quality of my high level parties are 4-6k per hour normally, so I think you're just having bad luck with parties at this level. We all go through rough streaks.

And someone asked about /drk... I haven't tried it in xp, simply because it doesn't really offer any real gains for tp, it's something I've used in coffer hunts and such to fool around with. But yes, if you want the potienal to unleash a masterful SATA+WS at chain 5 at higher levels, this sub can get it done.

Oh and

<--- Another person who's highest job is under 70, been playing since 2nd day of NA PC release.

I figured thf/war would better because of Triple attack and Double Attack stacking, with this dual wielding shouldnt matter and of course having /war subbed to thf will just make your ws much more.

U7 wasnt singling anyone out, it was a generalization or a stereotype to encompass a group of players. Stop taking it so damn personally and pull your panties out of your crack sheesh.

I havent exp'd with any of you myself, but I personally stopped leveling my blm because the PTs were going to shit, disbanding quickly or quickly dying.. pick your poison from a thousand needles. Not every PT was bad but the time between good PTs was days and I frankly did not continue to want to be around that group of players, so Ive taken a leave of absence from blm for a while.

Yes I also know people in the late 60s early 70s that are good players, stop the theatrics and just let it go its really not a big deal, no ill will was personally directed at anyone.

Id like to comment on the rest of the thread but im too tired to dive into this and fire off rounds which have previously been shot off.

LMAO... oh yeah, i was mos def being selective when i said the new generation of 70+ players are noobs were players that played since NA release that are just hitting 70 *cough* *sarcasm* give me a break you retards.

like what Ryme said, it was just a generalization. ugh.

i know quite a few ppl that have played as much as i have that haven't reached Lv.70 yet but are known to be good players... BLEH.

you guys are suckas. hahahaha... if i hurt ya'lls feelings, which flameboards tend to do to some of you guys, then "i'm sorry."

but you have to realize that when some of you guys may have been playing since NA release, once you guys hit Lv.70+ for the first time and start doing end-game content i.e. Gods, Kings, Dynamis... ya'll WILL BE noobs. noobs = first timers.

DUH.

sure, you've been playing since NA release, but your knowledge of this game can only go so far with what you've only already experienced. it's just natural. i'm sure i'm noob if i start playing BST... lmao

U7 is so noobular. I mean, look how he thinks Taru are cute. Obviously he's a newbie.
