As with everything please read this with an open mind and don't just dismiss it or come back with stupid GTFO comments. I welcome any debate on the subject but please try to keep it to debate and not personal attacks and I will do my best to do the same.

Let me tell you a historically accurate story about Germany and the start of World War II. I’m going to start with Hitler already already in the position of leadership but it had limited powers. This all changed when a communist Jew decided to destroy the Reichstag which was home to the decision makers. The Reichstag fire led to the congress of Germany enacting a new law which was known as the Enabling act which basically suspended the civil liberties of all of the people who were seen as a threat or in league with the communist Jews who were seen to have caused the problems in the country. So the people gave Hitler the ability to take complete control of the government by decree and use the country to whatever ends that he saw fit. Finally in order to protect National security against the Jews Germany proceeded to invade Poland and thus started World War II. It is highly debated as to if it was actually the Jews that destroyed the Reichstag building and in fact at the current time it is believed that the fire was a false flag attack and that it was done intentionally for Hitler to get complete control of the government. These changes ultimately led to the detainment of Jews in concentration camps because they were a threat to national security.

Now lets change a few words in the above statement and see if we can draw a few parallels...

Hitler = Bush
Germany = USA
World War II = War on Terror
Reichstag = World Trade Center
Reichstag Fire = 9/11
Enabling Act = Patriot Act
Communist Jew = Muslim Terrorist
Poland = Iraq
Concentration camps = detainment camps

Let me tell you a historically accurate story about America and the start of the War on Terror. I’m going to start with Bush already in the position of leadership but it had limited powers. This all changed when a Muslim Terrorist decided to destroy the World Trade Center which was home to the decision makers. 9/11 led to the congress of America enacting a new law which was known as the Patriot act which basically suspended the civil liberties of all of the people who were seen as a threat or in league with the Muslim Terrorist who were seen to have caused the problems in the country. So the people gave Bush the ability to take complete control of the government by decree and use the country to whatever ends that he saw fit. Finally in order to protect National security against the Terrorists America proceeded to invade Iraq and thus started the War on Terror. It is highly debated as to if it was actually the terrorists that destroyed the World Trade Center and in fact at the current time it is widely believed that the fire was a false flag attack and that it was done intentionally for Bush to get complete control of the government. These changes ultimately led to the detainment of Terrorists in detainment camps because they were a threat to national security.

Still reads pretty accurately doesn't it... Think about it.

Hmm, pretty interesting read and comparisons.

Only difference with Bush and Hitler though is that Bush ain't gonna be President any more soon, where as with Hitler, The Germans were stuck with him until.. well you know what happened.

But still an interesting read.

He has complete control... honestly as of right now if he wanted to suspend the elections he would be able to do it.

and Hitler was not voted in permanently either

100 million+ deaths = 1 million~? (Totals)
We aren't liquidating either.
Detainment is for the people accused of being part of the "terrorist"

I see where you can make connections, but then again, you can with most wars.

This is nowhere near the large scale of World War 2 or the severity.

Also, Hitler greatly fixed the German economy, Bush didn't greatly fix our economy.

You never know what the next year may hold...

I find it scary to admit that my US History teacher was right when she said history repeats itself.

How would he do this? Assassinate the people running for presidentcy? State of Emergency?

The president doesn't have absolute power over the country, Hitler did.

Also, as long as humans exist, there will always be war. It's human nature.
Power and greed can take over 99% of anyone.

As for the first part.. my answer is "yet"

as for the economy we are honestly trying to ruin the dollar so that we can turn the country over to the North American Union and take the Amero as the National Currency

This is a pic a real coin that has already been stamped as a template and is supposedly already being mass produced for the transfer.

I'm going to go back to class, hopefully we can have a lot to talk about when i get back.

The laws are already on the books where bush can declare martial law at any time that national security is threatened and take 100% control of the country

I've heard about that North American Union, haven't read much about it.

But the Iraqi war will NEVER be anywhere NEAR the amount of death that happened in World War II.

Really? New to me, learn something every day.

But how many people would be happy about that? There would be so many riots and uprisings that the United States wouldn't even be a real functioning country anymore, especially when you look/listen to how much people shit talk our current government.

Yeah, but the German people for the most part liked hitler. He def. had a higher approval rating than bush. And how the hell do you think bush could go about suspending the next election. I doubt congress would go with that, but hey you never know.

As serious as this topic is bound to be, I can't help but comment.
Are those lightning bolts in it's left talon? Is the NAU's animal gonna be Zeusbird?

If you look at the two wars on a small scale, yeah sure, they look similar... But there are much larger things pertaining to both wars that need to be weighed that arent...

And with the coin thing, the dollar has lost a lot of value over time anyway, because they were bills in the first place, representing gold... But then gold started to run dry while more bills were being produced... When you have the actual coins there in your hand, their value cannot depreciate.. That is a good thing.

Even with a full wallet with a dozen hundreds, it comes down to this:

You have a wallet full of paper, and nothing to represent the value of that paper other than the numbers on the face

It's not being produced for a transfer to any new currency. It's being produced by David Carr, a coin designer who has designed various real coins, and also makes "fantasy coins" to sell to collectors. That Amero pic is one of these fantasy coins.

Reading accurately and being true are two different things. People can theorize something to the point of belief. Wait, I messed up... let me rephrase that last sentence. People can theorize -anything- to the point of -possible- belief. The difference between what happened and what -really- happened, who knows. People believe in God and the Holy Spirit but not ghost. Why is that? People read a fictional book with bookoos of unbelievable material but when the book is printed with the word "Bible" on the title line it goes from fiction to true, to some. Some people believe in ghost, demons, and all of that fun stuff but not Gods and religious theory. Weird world, isn't it?

Point being, it all depends on who reads it. If someone wants it to be true, it'll be true to them and vise versa. In reality it's a story of a person with a theory. Their credentials and what they know for 100% fact in order to make it legitamate would be more interesting than a word lib of news broadcasts from people the same as the theorist.

Do I think history is repeating itself? No, I don't think the read is even 1/10 of a percent accurate. I also didn't believe that the world would come to any kind of end, even technologically, with "Y2K" on the way. Scary thing, a lot of people did. I don't even believe it's possible for that kind of history to repeat itself the way our government system works. Hitler was in power for the duration of his life. No one opposed him as his legal system was set up, by him, to work that way. He did exactly as he wanted and if anything touched the nerve between what he wanted and didn't want, he controlled it. Much like the article, Bush doesn't have 1/10 of this kind of power, key phrase coming up, on his own. Something more interesting would be a conspiracy that showed G Dub trying to set himself up for this kind of power. The power bestowed to him from the Patriot Act is nothing compared to the things he doesn't have control over, i.e. the voting system, other war acts, etc. There is a line he can not cross and will never be able to cross. When someone or a group of someones crosses his unwanted line, he has conflict which is far from control.

So, historically accurate reoccurance, no. A person with a raw talent for Word Libs, cha ching.

All in all, it's strangely comforting that no matter what else changes, people are still completely gullible and totally batshit insane.

Bush is not Hitler. Republicans are not Nazis. There are no parallels past some extremely superficial ones that can be applied to every country at some point in its history. The President is not trying to ruin the economy. The North American Union (assuming it ever happens) will not be the end of American civilization. There is no vast right-wing conspiracy to repeal the Constitution and institute a perpetual dictatorship.

NOTE:
I have received numerous inquiries as to my personal stand on the North American Union (NAU) issue. My goal with these coins is not to endorse a Union of North America or a common "Amero" currency. I fully support the United States Constitution, and I would not welcome (in any form) a diminishment of its provisions. I expect that these coins will help make more people aware of the issue and the possible ramifications. I leave it up to others to decide if they are in favor of, or against a North American Union. And I encourage citizens to voice their approval or disapproval of government plans that impact them.

A currency union, similar to the European Union "Euro" has been proposed for North America (it is sometimes called the "North American Union", or "NAU"). The name of the new currency is the "Amero". The Wikipedia encyclopedia article has additional details about the "Amero". This has been the source for many conspiracy theories tied in with other proposals such as the "Canamex Corridor".

These private-issue fantasy pattern coins will be struck as an annual series, starting in the latter part of 2007.

1st I've ever heard of it

A United States president cannot supercede Constitutional Law. They may and they may occasional skirt the rules but in the long run this could not happen without wholesale Constitutional amendments which must be ratified by 3/4 of the states. Yes the current administration is doing everything they can to consolidate and expand Executive Power they will ultimately fail because of the presence of the Legislative Branch. Just look at the dismissal of Alberto Gonzalez, the resignation of Karl Rove, the Scooter Libby trial. Fortunately, there is still enough power in the Legislative and Judicial branches to challenge a power hungry administration.

One thing you forget about the rise of Hitler in 1930s Germany is the fact that Germany was absolutely devastated after WWI and Hitler was just playing to deeply rooted historical anti-Semitic sentiments in Germany to scapegoat the Jews. The United States is much more culturally heterogenous whlie 1930s Germany was very homogenous.
