So, who else is geting overwhelmed in this last week before Christmas? Yesterday I made 2 batches of cookies, finished gift shopping, and found out from my local grocery store that the manufacturer of a particualr baking item I need ran out of stock late November. >.< Today I'm making spaghetti sauce ( REAL sauce, so it's a 10 to 12 hour affair) baking more cookies, walking my daughter to the CVS to try and find barettes that match her holiday dress, and wrapping as many gifts as I can while she naps. Tomorrow, more cookies, more wrapping. Thursday I bake Pannettone, and soon as Hubby gets off work we pack everything in the car (cookies, gifts, clothes, and baby) and take a 3-hour drive to Chicago. Thankfully once we get to Chicago, my work is done- well, aside from the routine baby-chasing, but that's the norm.

So what's your schedule like? ;)

OMG /hugs

I hate this week every year too. ><

Last week I did the whole write out 60 Christmas cards (because if ANY of my family members don't receive one - they gossip about it >< and I have a large large family) and made 2 kinds of cookies....and got a few gifts for the family out of the way.

Tommorow I wake up at 4AM to catch a plane to Michigan where my little ass will FREEZE for 4 days...so that I can fight with my family and have them demean me for being "too skinny" and not married....and for living so far away.

After I fight for a few hours on Wednesday I get to actually see an old friend and get drunk and watch girlie movies, then Thursday I take my little Bro and Sis's out to get thier gifts - THEN my mom is forcing me to go to karaoke with her that evening.

Friday we usually see THE LORD OF THE RINGS every Christmas Eve - but since the trilogy is over - we are going to see NATIONAL TREASURE and try to spot me in the background scenes...I am afraid we may have to sit VERY close tot he screen...then we go home, I cook with my mom - then they make me wrap all the gifts (again, LARGE family - so this causes carple tunnel) then decorate the tree (they never do this until Christmas Eve) THEN set everything out and go to bed.

Wake up ass early on Christmas morning because of the kids....get forced into church....catch a plane back home. ><

And I used "Vacation" days for this :(

TIS THE FREAKING SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than my annual last minute shopping things are pretty calm. I might make some cheesecakes but I like doing that. Ummm yeah that is it. I am kind of stuck on what to buy people though and that is a point of concern. I am always a last minute shopper because I want to get "personal" gifts that have "meaning" but can never think of anything so it's always a last minute dash to get them whatever.

On top of cooking, cleaning, shopping and wrapping I'm also packing, moving, unpacking, rewashing it (newspaper, black ink, you get the picture) and putting it away. Thing is I'll be done by Christmas Eve now with the majority of the inside of the house and will finally have Christmas Eve to relax a tad with my side of the family. I'm so glad my parents only live 7 miles from me and I don't have a long trip like Fellina and Jender.

My internet goes down about 6 pm tonight and the cable guy will be at the new place tomorrow between 8 and 12 to install the TV's and internet. Christmas I'm gonna game!!!! I swear it!!! Then the day after Christmas it's more running to spend time with more family and then back to the new place to unpack some more.

After the Holidays I'll have til January 25th to get the attic, garage and utility room done. Anyone wanna help  ?

Anyway, hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!! Please be safe and don't drink and drive on any of the Holidays.

Kat - moving on Christmas Eve trumps us all ;)

Best of Luck with everything and Happy Holidays!!!
