Holy Crysis

haha XD amusing

Easily the most technicaly advanced game to date. Just think, more games will be made on this Engine in the future... By the way it was not the best gameplay tho lol. Anyways have you checked some of the farcry2 stuff also? Pretty amazing.

Kind of agree with you. The first run through single player was awesome, tons of fun, great physics and all that. After the first run though I haven't had any desire to touch the game.

Multiplayer sucks hard too. Kinda regret buying this one, especially since any expansion is sure to cost even more money just to finish the story.

What game is that anyway? The engine is amazing. Even more so than GTA's engine, which is built solely around the physical laws.

It's Crysis. But seriously, if you want to get this. Don't! It's extremely disappointing. Yes the physics are amazing and the graphics are very powerful...

BUT, you need an INSANELY POWERFUL PC, to play it to its full potential, and even then, it still needs more power! You'd probably need a new mortgage to pay for a PC powerful enough to play Crysis to its full potential...

no scratch that, you need 10 supercomputers and Bill Gates working like 10,000 monkeys chained to typewriters making loads of books about 1 person's life story to keep the Super computers efficiently running to play Crysis!

All jokes aside though, Gametrailers didn't include Crysis AT ALL in the Game of the year section for best graphics as they still had trouble getting the graphics to be used to the fullest potential.

Anyways, the story sucks and its extremely BORING!

Even if you get it for a massive discount, don't get it, its not worth spending 1 penny or 1 cent (depending on where you live) on this game!

Ordered this off Amazon this morning. Anyone know if I'll be able to play with a usb 360 controller?

You should be able to. The instruction manual includes controls for an Xbox360 controller, so I'd assume it'd be the usb port that connects it.

The graphics in Crysis aren't invincible anymore. Quad-GPU setups with 4gb+ and you can run 19201200 at presumably 25fps+ maxed out. They have it avg at 27.7 with 0x AA with a single x2 card:

Nvidia's got something coming soon, gonna be a good year.

I am enjoying this game. Much better than Bioshock and Lost Planet which are my only other modern PC games. I love how any objective is going to be done differently every time, based upon how I use the environment and my gear. The AI work very well together as a group as well. My regular strategies against AIs who don't work together are often failures here.

O_O;

I'm speechless....

I enjoyed the two hours I got to play it at my local cyber cafe.

After Doom 3 I stopped keeping my PC up to date, and it could barely run FFXI - so I switched the playing FFXI on PS2 for a performance boost! I upgraded my PC for Bioshock, Lost Planet came with the graphics card I bought and I bought Crysis. I will trade in Gears of War and Mass Effect though and buy them both for PC - and if Halo 3 comes to PC I'll do the same and sell my 360. I'd buy the PC version of UT3 but the PS3 version comes with a freaking mod importing utility which is too insane to pass up on a console. There are no other PC games at the moment that interest me.

But if I didn't have a PS3 and 360... COD4 and Assassin's Creed I'd have bought for PC. COD4 I got on PS3 because me and my roommate up at school played over the network and that was fun. I don't mind Orange Box on PS3 either because I only really bought it for portal and that runs perfect on every build.

I am curious about Starcraft 2 but that's about it.

Crysis is absolutely amazing though. The fact that it's a PC exclusive is an amazing reason to keep your PC up to date. It's not just a pretty game or a technically amazing game, it's a terrific game. It's just... so much fun sneaking through the jungles, trying to survive North Korean squads as they track you down... you have to be constantly looking for cover and keeping your head down.

It's like... COD4 gives you graphically and artistically the sense you're really in a war. This game... gameplay wise gives you the feeling you're really sneaking through the jungles. The incredible graphics are actually less what keeps me playing compared to the great gameplay.

All you guys trashing this game need to lay off the crack pipe.

The single player is indeed amazing fun when you first get it. Unfortunately once you finish it once and try to play it through again a few times it seems to lose it's appeal. I'm not really sure why but I haven't wanted to put it in my drive since I started a second run through. /shrug

Crysis multiplayer is not even worth talking about, but COD4 still scratches that itch for me nicely.

After everything for multiplayer I still find myself going back to Warhawk with a little COD4, nothing else = interesting to me. Just wish I had the spare time. Last few weeks if I'm home with spare time I'm sleeping or maybe a few mins to check the internet for news and post off a few messageboard posts. Singleplayer tho I've not tired of Crysis yet maybe cause I haven't had the time to play it to the ground.

I played through the demo and I will definitely grab the game sometime soon. That demo was so amazing and I loved Farcry. I've also got to grab Prey, Bioshock, UT3, CoD4, as well as Gothic 3 for the PC sometime as well.
