Sweet Merciful crap that's a lot of good games. Paper Mario 2 is going to rock my taru socks....bloody hell though, I can't even finish the games I have allready...It's going to be even worse when CoP comes out

As far as Star Ocean goes...I'll believe it when I see it

OH! Your forgot Baiten Kaitos

I'm glad I'm working at a Game Crazy, gonna start putting that discount to work.

Right now I plan on purchasing...

Phantom Brave (PS2)
Tony Hawk Underground 2 (PS2)
Fable and an XBOX (XBOX)
FFXI: Chains of Promithia (PC)
Star Ocean 3 (PS2)

I have most of these on reserve. I also may get XBOX live and Splinter Cell, and probably Halo 1&2. I'll probably give some other games a look in the future, but right now those are my guaranteed must buy games.

For those who like something a little different, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is out in late Sept. and Digital Devil Saga in out in November.^^

HALF-LIFE 2 ALREADY! PLEASE!

Also...
Metal Gear Solid 3
Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Star Ocean 3 (I want to rent this before I buy it, just in case)
FFXI: Chains of Promathia

Pretty much it for now, that I can think of. I know there's more that I'm a little interested in, but these are the top choices.

Well, I got Star Ocean 3 already, and I'll be buying Phantom Brave on Friday. Overall Star Ocean 3 has been fun. It's nothing revolutionary, the battle system is fun though, prevents the game from being a simple X button mash.

Not a big fan of the voices though, I can turn them off, but I leave them on cause I can't help but laugh at some of them, still, reminds me so much of Star Ocean 2. Seems they toned down the creation aspect of the game, from what I read in the manual.

Overall, its a great game, storyline has been decent so far, nothing incredible and the characters are pretty cliche. Music is alright, it gets the job done, voices are fine, but sometime conversations drag on cause they talk too slow. Battle system keeps it interesting, and so does the battle trophy collection (27 so far!). If your looking for something to play, give it a shot. Not the greatest RPG out this year, but its a solid choice, plus with 10 different endings and such, it has good replay value.

Is Star Ocean 3 2D with 8 bit music? Sorry just cracking a joke...waiting 5 years for this game to come out has made me bitter.

Wait, I think I see the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse!

No, its 3D, with the characters looking very anime like, sometimes its distracting, they look very anime like, but overall not bad. The movements are a little funny, they move a little too much during conversations, I'm afraid someone is about to have a seizure.

The sound effects and menu effects are straight out of part 2 though, same with the items and their descriptions. Blueberries, blackberries, all of those items are back and exactly the same.

The battle skill system has been reworked a bit, some might love it, some might hate it. Now you can have 4 battle skills on you, and only 2 support skills. So you character can have like 4 special moves with his sword, then something like First Aid and Status Recovery.

They took out alot of the secondary skills, like Leadership, Toughness, Writing, Identify, etc. They instead took the Status boosting skills and split them by specfic stats, and the stuff used for creating items is in a new system called the invention system.

I haven't got that far yet, but its simply going out in the world, searching out inventors, recruiting them for their specific skills (Cooking, writing, smithing, painting, etc.) and having them work for you into making the items, or possibly inventing brand new items that have never existed before. You can patent new inventions and make a profit, and you'll rise in inventor ranks, giving you new options. Overall it seems fine, but I have yet to test it out. Once I get more playtime into it I post more details.

I forgot another game that I want, but it's probably not going to be in America for another year or so... Kingdom Hearts 2. Loved the first one, excited about this one.

Did I also mention that I really want Half-Life 2?
