So this past week, i went home from College to visit family and friends. I go to college out at Creighton Universtiy in Omaha, Nebraska. I spent a week back home in San Diego, enjoying the good weather, food, and company. It was nice being home, despite me not liking to spend *too* much time with my family... it was still nice though.

I flew back into omaha last night, glad to be back here and away from the stress of my family back home.

Only to find out the next morning that all of san diego is burning. All of my friends have been evacuated out of their homes, and my friends' families... its nuts. Im scared out of my mind right now, none of my family is picking up their phones, and our phone at home is busy...

so yea, just a little scared right now, and guilty a little too cuz i left there happy to leave, and now its all up in smoke... i hope my family, friends, and everyone in the city is ok =\

Jeese demon brotha I hope your family and friends are ok. My sister lives in El Cajon so I am gonna give them a ring and see whats going on.

Unless you started the fire, don't feel guilty, you have no reason to. God knows I'm happy when I get to leave the company of my family.
I've got a cousin in the San Diego area, gonna have to call him or my aunt or something and make sure he's ok.

Its really sad right now about how everything is over there, but i really feel bad that the news could really care less about the people, and more about the billionaire directors/actresses/actors who "lost it all". Oh no! Susan Sommers had to evacuate her home, again!

lol, yea really. 250,000 people evacuated, and its omgSusan. But yea, i got a hold of my family finally, fire is still about a 20 minute drive from where the house is, so thats good. But a majority of my friends live north of me... so thats alot of families i know that got evacuated to the Del Mar fair grounds and the stadium.

i just hope it gets contained before we see more houses up in smoke

I've been watching the news feeds. The fire seems REALLY intense.

yeah San Diego has been crazy. i was evacuated from Scripps Ranch > Mira Mesa > Carlsbad then thankfully back home to Scripps. Luckily we were gone only a day. We were moved 2x in a 4 hour span which really blew. Also evacuated my brother on Sunday night from Ramona. Sucks brother is still at my house and no word on his house in Ramona =/

They evacuated over 560,000 people and the count as of now is around 1300 houses burned down. of the 560k, around 50-100k have been sent home but they are still evacuating people in Julian, Palomar Mountain.

Pray for us in San Diego.

You have to admit though, her and her neighbor's shit just keeps burning down. It's pretty ridiculous. On my vacation earlier this year, I saw an interview with her on the news. She keeps loosing shit in fires. I recall that the fire that burned her house down last time didn't even hit her neighbor's house, so her fire losses are a bit above par. She's a celebrity, but I still feel bad for her if her house burnt down again. I've only heard of 5 deaths so far and 1 was at the very beginning. The fire has displaced more people than Katrina, but the death rate is much lower.... that we know of.

All the people that I've heard about from people that have friends in the area and my friends have evacuated.

It looks like the people in the region are getting all the help that can be given at this point. Now we all just gotta hope for the best.
