Homework

Freshmen - 9th Grade
Sophomore - 10th Grade
Junior - 11th Grade
Senior - 12th Grade

The same names are used for 1-4th year of college as well so a Freshmen in college would be a first year student, etc.

Ah I see.

I'll give you two easy tips for homework success in highschool.

1. Don't be a lazy fuck and do you homework WHILE YOU ARE IN CLASS, or in another class you have time to do it in. I swear people are like 'Yea 20 mins of free time lets talk' Fuck that, ill do my history homework. Because 20 mins of w/e i can do at home > talking. Also if i ever got to school early (which when i rode with my friend one year i got there about 15-20 mins early each day) I'd work on homework. Idk about you but I don't even know where the hell I am before 9 oclock so id use that time to do homework.

2. Find someone whos about equally as smart as you or even better smarter than you and split up the work. Then copy w/e each other had but switch it up a lil so it doesnt look like you copied each other. Teacher don't look that close (atleast mine never did) and splitting up homework made shit go way faster.

By following these 2 easy steps I pretty much never had homework in high school (Or college, I'm technically still a senior but I do pseo at a tech college). I'm not kidding either. Everyones always like my god I hate homework it takes for ever and im just like what homework?

Also another useful tip thats good in algebra is to work on your homework while your teachers explaining the stuff. Because one youll finish it up early and two it helps to have the formulas all fresh and shit in your head at the time. Its nice too to know that instead of having 30 book problems to go home to you have all your shit done.

I don't know how well these tips will work for you in college because I'm doing PSEO at a tech school that is pretty similar to my highschool as far as class size and structure goes, but I wouldn't recommend the copying deal so much then because you sure wouldn't want to flunk a class you had to pay for because you were to lazy to do an hour of work.

This.

High school wasn't so bad I guess well Freshman and Senior year. I couldn't stand school sophomore and junior year. The work load is nothing like what college is to the point that I wish I had did work instead of scrapping (SP?) by with my work in high school. Just grin and go with it honestly it was not hard work because in college that A paper you just wrote for English is already a C maybe even a D. You actually have to study for some tests which is something I never did do in HS. Also keep notes make sure they're detailed enough that you have the main points and an understanding of how it's relative.

As much as I hated doing homework, I also enjoyed doing it whenever I actually hunkered down and did it, especially during all of my math classes in college (yeah, I'm a mathematics major). Whether you like it or not, homework is an effective means of study as it is supposed to reinforce what your instructor lectured on so it will stick with you whenever it comes for test time and even to other classes and outside of school.

If you can't be bothered to do homework and want to go to college, you'll be in for a rude awakening. In undergraduate studies, you can expect to have your coursework load in out-of-class work (i.e. 15 hours of work outside of class for a 15-hour course load), even more if you choose to study something that is research intensive. Graduate studies (master and doctoral level) will not even give you free time to spend on anything, sometimes even time to have a job and make money.

LOL You silly secondary schoolers. Wait til you're working on a doctorate. =) There are 168 hours in a week. I think of those 168, I spend about 90 in the damned library.

Me either lmao. Although i shouldn't lie, i have yet to study for a test, not even this practice ACT or entrence exam i took for my college im doing PSEO at (got a 28 on the ACT thing which was in my sophomore year and obviously passed the entrance exam junior year). I think it just comes down to whether or not you have a good memory. I have a ridiculous memory hence why i don't study. Works for me while friends of mine cant remember what they had for lunch and would fail horrible if they didnt study.

I was so under prepared for the ACT even with studying. I blame my math teacher being one gigantic robotic tool I started to tone him out. So instead of getting a 22-24 I was aiming for, I set my goals low because if i over-achieve them I feel better, I got a 20.

Then they threw an insult of a state test that was so mundanely easy that I almost didn't do the damn thing just going to the essay portion telling the people who wrote the test that their test was an insult to any educated person as just using common sense questions is a waste of my time.
