Hooking N64 to HDTV

Anyone have their old N64 hooked up to their HDTV? it doesn't seem to work when I do it. It works with my old SD TV so I know the cable and system is fine so ya, I wonder if anyone knows something might need to be done (which is weird cause my PS1/2 still work fine just normally hooking up the AV cords to the right parts and putting it to the proper channel).

Try setting your TV to 4:3? It's not like the N64 can upscale or supports 16:9/10 anyway.

Mine works, just looks like ass bags when you blow it up though. I've yet to find a single thing on my T.V. that keeps from functionin' like all my other, non HD ones, and it's a fakin' Dynex.

wonder if S-Video cables would work better :\

to elaborate, when I hook it up to the AV ports it gives me "no signal" when I have it on the AV channel but it works with old TVs fine and I know the same AV ports have worked with other old game systems (genesis, saturn, PS1, PS2)

Edit: WTF XD just tried turning it on and it works now, did nothing different XD weird
