Well heres something I havent done in a while, Mostly because I never have any time on the computer anymore, and When I do I'm out making horrible horrible sketches with what little time I have, But, for shi*t's n' giggles, I'll post my FFXI art.

Its good, it just takes time to draw. You know practice and if you like to draw then its not a problem. Also, when I mean it takes time, I mean lots of time. Lots and lots of time, so much time its like "WTF" you have been drawing since you were 6 years drawing on furniture and walls in marker.

Then your father and mother gets mad and yell at you, and then tomorrow you are still drawing on the furniture. ( o.o)b Then they decide to give you pencil and paper instead of a wall and marker to draw on. Realizing later they are spending a fortune on paper, pencils, later ink, paint, brushes.

Anyways, DERAILMENT and off track on topic! o.o

Keep on drawing, they are great! ^^
 
Why do all the artists who post here refer to their work as being "horrible" or "crap" in the topic thread and throughout their posts? Is it like an inside joke in the Fan Works forum that I'm missing out on cause I don't read here all that often? Nobody is going to tell you to piss off and die in this forum (I don't think anyways :P) so what's with the shyness?

Not a flame- and this applies to several recent artist posts- I just don't get it. These pictures are obviously really cool and take talent to produce. Stop putting yourselves down before you even get to the material people.

Just once I'd like to read the confident art thread that's titled "Just call me Michelangelo bitches!"

I'm like that too though. Hell I don't show my art work because I'm self-conscious. But I try to encourage others because drawing is fun, and is a nice hobby. o.o

I think it's more of a fact that the artist's who post their work (myself included here), are very critical of what they do. I know that even if I have people telling me they loved the sig I made for them, or the BG i designed, in my head i'm still saying "holy shit that looks crappy.. imma redo it." XD

You are your own worst critic, is what I think it boils down to.
 
Nice work Kay. It's not horrible it's quite good so don't be down on it.

Quite a lot of people are very humble about their works of art or anything else. I myself, am the same about my writing. Even if I know my current work, or any other work is pretty good, I don't spout as much. Logically, there's also an element of anticipation too that's there. If I told you my shit was fan-fucking tastic, suddenly all you're going to do upon reading it is looking for what is fan-fucking tastic. However, if I tell you my shit sucks, but your curiosity drives you to read it, suddenly you just look for what sucks, and on the flip-side, if it doesn't truly suck, suddenly you come back and say "Hey, that didn't suck at all, that was great!" It's just more of an inside thing for people that do art of any caliber or degree.

Anyhow, Kayleen, nice artwork as always, keep it up. You have a definite and unique style that no one will ever be able to imitate, that much I have always respected about your art.
 
Aww, I wouldn't resort to calling your work "horrible." You draw a heckuva lot better than most other people, and you definately have an eye for things, so keep doing what you're doing.
Also, you're comments and comic are hilarious (the other one's an inside joke, but still made me laugh), so: b( ' v ' )d to you.
