ATTENTION:

I spend time farming for the Gil. I spend that gil on new spells, equipment, and food so I can be a good player.

I also spend time levelling my subjob so there's not a huge gap - actually, there's no gap right now for me.

I look up things so I have good main job/sub job combos, I use the right spells for the right situations.

THESE THINGS ARE EXPECTED - IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A PLAYER

Today I partied in Qufim for the first time. The party I had included a WAR/WHM who was anon (presumably so people wouldn't bitch about the subjob), and a RDM20/WHM1. Everyone but me was underequipped (The WAR/WHM was still wearing some level 1 equipment.)

Nobody brought food. The main healer (a BLM/WHM) was using cure II all the time.

DAMMIT. DAMMIT.

If every party is like this in Qufim, I think I may quit. >_<

Id console you, but it doesnt get any better. We have lv60+ idiots who think /SAM is good, and pretend RDM melee is more effective (these examples are light), and we have ATK and STR geared PLDs, and DRKs that dont use absorb spells or stun, we have SAM that wont start skillchains with Hobaku because its too weak, and we have WHMs that think they are tanks... etc etc etc.

Running to a new MMO wont help either. MMOs are popular now. Every single new one will be filled to the brim with idiots.

If you are looking for an excellent MMO that has pretty much only good People, try EVE Online. it's Sci-Fi and very "techy"... A true Geek's Dream.

Im guilty myself of having an underlevelled sub. My sub is lvl 20 right now and my pld is lvl 42 but I felt that (since I level slowly) I'm probably going to wait to lvl my sub till the expansion comes out or till im lvl 48-49 (definitely going to get it to lvl 25 before i get lvl 50, defender is a tad bit too valuable).

Maybe I've been spoilt, I've only seen six deaths in the last ten levels (on my main), all to unpredictable stuff, and only one was mine.

The weirdest subjob I've seen since CN was a WHM/BRD (who was actually pretty good, and only took the /BRD because we had a BLM/WHM and a RDM/WHM).

I haven't seen a RDM mellee in an Exp party since Kazham.

Although I don't party with other RDMs and I do play weird times...I guess I've just been lucky...

I've had a meleeing RDM in Crawler's Nest around L36-37 who knew about Macros, but found them ineffective because he was able to just open the menu and use them as they're needed...

He later complained of lag when he needed to select the spells, and consistently needed us to tell him when to cast Dispel.

So no, the pain-in-the-ass quality player is still going strong. It's just our responsability to kick them out of the PT when we see they just don't care about being a team player.

Oh god I agree. I used to be of the mind that the game was just for fun and let them do whatever within reason. However, after farming and logging and mining and crafting and fishing for literally MONTHS to get the eq and gear that is the best for me, it really PISSES ME OFF, that my efforts get wasted by underequipped dumb asses! You think qufim is bad? As you go, EVERY LITTLE idiosyncracy, missing spell, underleveled sub, missed piece of eq, is amplified TEN FOLD! For example, I was in a party XPing on crabs in Kuftal. I kept asking the Whm to cast Dia2. He finally got mad at ME, and said that he didn't have it! A level F%$%in 54 Whm with no Dia2!?!? The Whm we got the next night had it, and you would be AMAZED at the difference it made. Hell, one night I forgot to eq a +3 int ring and was getting disappointed with my dmg till I realized that I hadnt equipped it. I was AMAZED at the difference in Dmg.
