how big is Van'adiel ?

that's an easy fix

just like what they did to /drg... just make it rdm main only... =P

have you seen a /drg use 'call wyvern?' >.>

When i was asking where altaieu is, i was asking where that red light you see is, the one that appear on th CS when you take the ship in the safehold. They do mention it is north of tavnazia.. very far. idk if its qufim. it might be qufim cause the BF where you fight Promathia is right above qufim. Now according to Conquest Map, Tu'lia is also near qufim, though its probably more S-E near Ro'maeve.

Also i read the CS and they did mention thatthe 5th crystal is under the sea, and this crystal is inside altaieu ( or Al'Taieu inside crystal lol).
when you do the final battle of cop you will get the answer you seek.

thats a perfect solution.

btw, why is DRG the only job with a job-onry ability (other than 2-hr)?
now that i now this i wish souleater was DRK-onry.

Or they could gimp it, like /SAM and Meditate for 60 TP...

I could see a 2:1 HP/MP ratio doing the trick.

I must have missed this detail. So the airship in Sealion's Den takes you across dimensions?

It takes you to the Fifth Mothercrystal, and that takes you through to it.

But yeah, another Dimension. Prishe even mentions it during her back and forth with Bahamut, about what Promathia intends to do. The Crystals sent Al'Taieu away when it's defenses started going haywire.

only prob with the level cap to 80 is that everything you fight now would have to be moved up 5 levels. Plus you're getting 5 real levels AND 3 subjobs levels if the cap moved to 80. That is a big difference. Just like when you're lvl 70 and you're trying to fight things that lvl 75 can barely hit as melee (kirin, wyrms, gods, hnms). SE would just raise the lvls of everything by 5 and then you'll be right back where you started saying i wanna be lvl 85 to make my job stronger so i can fight those strong mobs... then if they raise it again.. SE is gonna raise the difficulty of every mob again by 5... just a viscious cycle over and over. If they didn't change the diifficulty on mobs, you wouldn't have anywhere to merit. Already the C. Mire, B. Thickets Zones at 75 are only littered with VT mobs... 5 lvl increase in your job would make them either T or EM++. Beastmasters and Summoners and possibly pups would have an easy time xping because they can solo T mobs and everyone will be like... WTH?!? Then think about weapons, armor, spells, etc etc from 75 - 80.

This game wants you to use massive amounts of teamwork and coordination to achieve your goals. From simple missions, to AF quests, to dynamis and assault, to even leveling your job Raising the lvl cap won't solve anything. SE would treat it as a balance.. if pc players get 3 times stronger, then all mobs in the world must get 3 times stronger as well. A delicate balance... Only thing that is gonna happen imo is that SE will make the mobs stronger in order to give the pc players more of a challenge to 'get the job done' if they see us killing endgame mobs too easily. For the other way around.. they'll give us clues on how to make our lives easier, like when they gave us a clue on how to 'tame' Absolute Virtue.

OK, typed too much.. gonna stop now...

its possible that cowboys might pop up in a future far west expansion. heh.

I wanna say they could add a Gunslinger job like they did in IRO, but Corsair and Ranger pretty much handle all the guns already eh?

As for my view, I see the orc continent just like someone said earlier:

"Orc King...giant army...doom for all of Vana'diel....lets just leave it to the adventurers."

Then we find some plot twist that implements the Gigas later into the missions. "Orc Princess refuses Gigas marriage. War imminent." (note the sarcasm.)

Behemoth wasn't increased when they raised the level cap, several times. He's old as dirt.

I knew it, Bastok really is the center of all life on Vana'Diel! OWNED!

Agreed! And it's in all Caps why? Because we of Bastok are the greatest in existance. Even the RMT realize that. Where are they from? Bastok. Why? Riding on the tailcoats of the greatness that is the real Bastokans.

Because Call Wyvern was the two-hour until somewhat "recently."

I can't tell whether SE just did a half assed job on chaning the 2hr to a JA or if they acutally had a reason for making it DRG onry.

I think the problem comes in with dual pet jobs.

DRG/SMN never let you have double pets when it was a two hour.
SMN/DRG won't work either even if Call Wyvern is a JA.

The real question is why would you want to use the Wyvern? At 37, it's going to miss. It's breaths will be resisted. Death will be incredibly easy, and because of that reasoning, Healing Breath will be no where near useful since it's based off Wyvern HP.

what kinda wyvern would you get if you subbed drg and your main was healer/melee/etc, that's the question. If it acted like vice versa.. then a drk/drg would have a backup healer. Just like why /pup with the puppet in cure mode is good. The healing breath won't be that good.. but it's something useful if farming and etc.

whm/smn can summon avatars.
why can't war/drg summon Wyvern?
i call shenanigans.

why do i want to do this? just for kicks.
some job combos obviously just don't work and they aren't used, but you still see them from time to time just for shits and giggles.

ever seen my DRK75/smn1 summon all of the elemental avatars?
i wouldn't use that job combo in xp pt, but that doesn't save the bunnies in west from from my Titan.

Vanad'iel is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to Vanad'iel.

In 2004, there was a time where I ran from Bastok to Windy and thought I ran the whole world. Untill I got SKY...

Now, that was a long journey!

SE must've learned from that and added teleports in the new expansions (CoP and ToAU).
