You know, as I sat there at Red Robin eating my shitty steak sandwich (which is definitely NOT a steak sandwich; if you ever go there expecting one, don't order it), I thought the same. At work my desk is set up much more ergonomically. At home I think it's optimized more for... passing out at the keyboard.

Yup! =P
But of course, because it disables highlighting, you actually hafto type up the exntire thing perfectly outside of the actual box, then copy it, start the test and ctrl+v...and just eventually hope for the right test to pop up. Really though, I'm happy with my first result, don't think I'll try again.
 
I can hit about 104 words per minute with about 2 mistakes, however I would like to say that it is far easier to achieve higher wpm when you are typing words more commonly used when typing to others, or from your own head, rather than reading from something and typing at the same time.

EDIT: Nevermind I see how this works. That can't happen. 83 wpm with 4 mistakes. You 100 people with 1 mistake are crazy.

This test feels... inaccurate. I've never been able to break 92wpm @ 100% on any other typing test I've taken, ever. Yet here I'm steadily 120-150. Anyone else feel like this is more of an ego boost than an accurate portrayal of skillz?
 
Well, wow ... up until now, I was (by far) the fastest typist I knew of, next to my little brother. I have never seen anyone in person that can beat me ... other than him.

On this test, I'm having a bit of difficulty doing any better than 105 WPM. In three tries, this is my best result:

I was under the impression that a triple-digit typing speed was a rarity, and thus, I was t3h 1337z0rz. Seeing no less than three of you break that barrier as easily as I can, however, motivates me to keep trying until I wh00pz all j00r asses.

I'm not about to yield the "Biggest Dork" crown that I had previously understood to be mine. >_<

How do you tell what percentage you have on Test Number 2? Is that the middle number?
If so, this is what I got:

Edit: How do I get an image to not resize? Also, are you trying to hit a lower or higher percentage on test #2? My lowest has been 79% and my highest was 89%

Second one is accuracy, and images shouldn't resize on their own unless you're using like...photobucket, I think.

*edit* Additionally, overall % doesn't really seem to reflect on the overall test, it just shows how often you typed the correct key vs the wrong one...the actually important number is the top one (In Rio's case, 1116) out of the 5001 figures that it has you attempt to copy. And no one's interested in this test? ;.;

I use Homestead, dunno if it's free to signup to anymore though, plus it's an unreliable piece of trash. =/

*edit* Also just got 1900ish on that test thinger but getting booted in a sec so I'll hafto upload tomorrow. ;.;
