Not flaming anyone in general. But what the hell is up with people lvl 50+ who don't know how to play thier damn job!? I'm not going to sit here and say I could play any job the best way and I know it all blah blah blah but damnit ><!!! It doesnt take a damn genius to -use- that Erase spell you probably bought with real cash, doesn't take a genius to use that Haste spell or that Dispel one either.

White mages who only erase Evasion down from themselves, dont use more then Cure II so they can conserve MP but then spam Holy! Let you die when they have 500 mp+!

Red Mages who sit there and do refresh and then -try- to magic burst. Nono not actually MB, TRY. Because you know its oh so hard to hit that cast macro when you see the SC go off. And lets not forget the RDM with all attack gear (boy those are more and more apparent these days) who does 0-3 dmg a hit (lets just build up the mobs TP for the tank, ya?) cant land any infeebles (hmmm could be that mithkabob you ate and no int/mnd gear) and then wonders why they cant land them.

Thieves who can't get behind to SATA, stand off to the side so the damn thing doesnt land. IF you cant land SATA what good are you doing? And half of the time they dont have any leaping/pin... hmmmm wont get into that...

Rangers who, alot of the times, are rather stuck up and think they are the bomb diggity. Yea, I love rangers in a party. But a ranger with a bad attitude is just as likely to get the boot from me as any other job with a bad attidude.

And then the common any job idiot who wants to go to a place three levels too high, because he was babied a couple of days ago and a higher lvl group took him to somewhere that normally he wouldn't go to. So you get 250 exp. Tank is dead on the ground because it conned IT+++++ to her and no matter how much EVA she had, it really didn't matter. But you got your exp, thats all that matters, right? But then I'm the bitch for finding myself a replacement, putting up with the carnage for another 30 minutes for he/she to get out there, and gracefully disbanding.

And as ninja, I've even partied with a ninja or two who dont know WHAT the hell they are doing~! So whats the point honestly of having a macro of four or five elemental Ninjustu spells?? For one, you'll have to interrupt casting 90% of the time to do your shadows or provoke. For two, do you not realize that elemental ninjutsu is used for more then just spamming? key words: RESISTENCE DOWN. Also, ninjas who dont use thier debuffing ninjutsu.

Point of this thread is I'm wondering how the hell this is all I ever see? I have partied with /counts on one hand. -FOUR- great players at this level range (50-57) and those people are Sabia, Pauk, Random, and Jimm. Maybe another handful of people who got by on what they were doing by the skin of thier teeth. Is it the new exp cut allowing more idiots to flood up to higher levels or is this normal? When I passed through this level on my RDM I had a static. So I don't know.

If anyone is up for static until lvl 63, and you know how to do your job, I'd be incredibly happy to join. I don't level past a certain level with the best gear I can get. Stopped @1000 exp to lvl 57 for a while as I waited for the last of my quested goods/old gear/farmed items to sell, so I could have my SH. For me it was "No harness? hmm no 57 then" lol that about drove me insane too. Use all my tools properly, try my best to do my job right, and just want a little of that attitude back from fellow party members.

I understand this is just a game >< play it to relax and all that good stuff. But if your not willing to spend the time on your character to atleast make him half way decent, your wasting 5 other peoples time when you get into a party. And I also know that skill > gear. But 90% of the time I have noticed people with shitty gear are people with shitty skill. People just make things harder then they should be because they are lazy.

Who knows maybe I'm just being a bitch from not recieving a good party on a job I work my ass off to be good at. If thats the case, my apologies. I know not everyone at this level range or any other range falls under the catagories above. Thats just all I'm seeing ^^'

/Nod nod

I'd like to add: BLMs that overnuke or nuke too much before the SC and make me get that "too far away" message = 0%TP ; \

Also, leaders that duno how to put together parties. I'm sorry but PLD, PLD, NIN, no sort of refresh/debuff (that high D move those crabs do is pretty nasty with no dispel) etc... isn't gonna cut it lol.

Wow im begining to like you <3
So im not the only one who thinks 99% of rangers are ignorant ass-hats.

Mind you leveling post 60 is going faster for me after the cut, but you are correct. The exp cut is allowing some people to shoot up in levels and make it difficult for others who can acctually play the game.[/quote]

Yea. Pretty much every party I have entered has been someone who does a /sea all inv 55-59, sees there are 6 people within that level range *which btw is far too big* and then just invites whoever. If you dont have the brain power to put a good setup together, {Hmmm.} {You can have this.} Super Mario bros.

The skinny: They are dumb.

I can't say that I disagree with anything you said but my guess is that this overall game isn't intuitive. Many quests aren't able to be completed simply by what the NPC's tell you. You have to ask someone else what they did or go to Alla and find out. example: How am I supposed to know that I have top put a Quus in the ??? spot behind the lighthouse in S. Gustaberg to get the crab to spawn and get the clock? I never would have figured that out without doing reasearch outside the game. The same goes with knowing what side effects skills have. Many people see the damage done by the elemental ninjitsu and figure they aren't worth it coupled with the fact that the ninja is either broke, cheap, lazy, ect (goes for any job really: Monks that won't "waste" their TP on a shoulder tackle to stop a bomb toss because it does crap damage even though you basically saved teh healer the equivilant of casting 6 Cure 2's, ec).

My basic point is that many people view this as a game and outside of what is thrown into their face as fact in-game they will never learn. Many people play to play and aren't going to do the out of the game research that it takes to be good to excellent. Also many people in the game aren't good at teaching others. Unless you call teaching to be flaming someone, booting them, complaining in a way that puts a person on the defensive, ect. Ehh. Mostly it comes down to a combination of people being willfully ignorant, Square Enix for either making the translation poorly or simply making a vauge game, and selfishness. That is my opinion.

I see your point, Kurgon, and I have -tried- to offer tips and such to playing a job better. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a nice person and never just boot someone. But the problem with offering someone advice is you will almost certainly be smacked in the face with some ignorant "I know everything" phrase followed by the all knowing "stfu noob".

I could of listed names to the numerous players that have been terrible, but I didnt for two reasons. One, the list would of been far too long lol. Two, I know that attacking someone and turning half of QCDN on them and thier bad skills wont be good for them either. =Hopefully= people who arent too good at thier jobs and dont realize it, will read this, and think "Hey, I'm doing some of that stuff.. maybe I should improve." But if they aren't willing to listen to a few kind tells in game, I doubt they'll be willing to push themselves and be better by reading a post outside of game. Ya never know ^^

First off any whm i see that casts 6 cure 2's instead of a curaga is fired. 2nd if youre not willing to go to a website and figure out what the hell to do, or what equipment to get, dont be pissed when i kick your ass out of my PT.

By the mid 50's people should have a firm grasp on their individual responsibilities, I will offer insight, but im not gonna hold your hand through every little thing. You get back what you put in, fair enough. Willfully ignorant? Nah more like no longer tolerant, blaming others and the creators of a game for your shortcomings (not you, just in general) is complete bullshit. my 2cp

The effect of PLing the noobs that don't learn the game, and the good people that have left is now leaving us with the lower end of the gene pool to party with. Also the "race" mentality to get to 75 is there. And there's only one way to convey how I feel about the stupid players: >_<.

Yeah anytime I try to give advice in a party it has been through /tell. 90% of the time people take it really well but I find that people who offer advise through /p just ends up putting that person on the defensive since the 4 other party members are now involved. Anytime I'm in a group and someone mentions that they have a higher level job that corralates to what I am currently leveling I'll ask for critique but I have never gotten any just usuallly encouragment to keep going with it and to not get discouraged (can you tell I am a monk :P ). I am not saying I play every job perfectly. I think it is more of the fact that many people are to disintrested and/or shy/polite to speak up. For one thing I know I need to get better at remembering to put up Defender/Berserk/Dodge/Focus dependant upon the situation more frequently. There are times where I am just sitting there fighting and it dawns on me that I haven't been using those skills for a while.

I haven't used shoulder tackle since the dunes, and at higher levels, blm and drk have stun. Pld get shield bash, which I believe also stuns, same with a drk's weapon bash. Barfira should be kept up at all times when fighting gobs, but sometimes it goes down and you don't notice. Yeah, you should try to stop the bombs in the dunes, but now I'm part of a skillchain that takes off a good deal of damage, so I need to keep TP so I don't screw over 2 other people directly.

Ranger 58 sub NIN or WAR, "Increadably Tough" For Hire. got the gear and +1 food.... online 5-? PST Send me a tell and we'll get on with a good pty. I'm sure we can recruit a few more people that can at least make the xp whoring entertaining! I'lll be lvling THF at least til 31 in the meantime.

Wouldn't expect anything less in the Flameboard. :D What I posted wasn't saying it was okay. I was just explaining what I see as the reason for the original posters gripe. I wasn't calling knowledgable players the "Willfully ignorant" I was calling the "dumbass, newb" players that. Willful ignorance gets no sympathy from me. I also agree that by 50 people should know their role in a group setting but I would be happier if some of the "hand holding" and insight was shared during the developmental stages of the player (dunes, quifm, and jungles) As players get more levels they are going to be more resistant to change and advise. (the whole teaching an old dog new tricks thing) Too many people are willing to suffer through bad groups silently. I am not saying people should hold their tounges but I also think immediatly flaming someone and making them angry, thus making them even more resistant to learning/improving doesn't help either.

I usually try to talk to someone in tells unless that person expresses the desire to the PT to want to learn about their job (provided I know something at all on said subject :D ).

But then again theres always the stuck up person that doesnt want to listen as well.

One situation at a time

While your point is good, noone did that ^^; Once again, no names were mentioned, so that point can be dropped.

Concider it dropped. 8)

Problem with posts like this is you're preaching to the quior(spelling)
I agree on all accounts btw

thinking about it there were three other people that were good players so I feel bad I didnt mention them and threw them into the "suck" catagorie ^^;; Shiutou was an awesome BLM, Heavensliegh can put together awesome parties, and KCC is a great RNG ^^
