Just wanting to make a fun thread on things that happened to you:

* The thief lvl 69 doesn't know how to Sata a ninja in Bubu
* The BLM lvl 72 asking you what is Genkai
* The tarutaru paladin lvl 48 in quicksand with a mind + equipement only

If you have exemple please post them

There's too many to list . . .

A WHM that doesn't cure ...

We had a white mage who was a literal bot in CN once.

If you told it to protect it would protect, if you told it to poisana it would poisana. It didnt speak JP or English. It was really creepy. O.o

I think people are often quick to judge. Chances are you will be wrong half the time, and chances are also very good that a good number of those whom you consider highly regarded players are in fact gil buyers.

When WoW first came out I leveled a priest, and I went with a party where one player didn't know that a priest could resurrect people. She had never partied with a priest before (priest were rare) and thus simply didn't know. Obviously she didn't care enough about the game to read up on what each and every class can do in game.

Similarly people in FFXI could have been playing a certain way all the way to high levels. Their way simply didn't require them to know about a certain feature.

Calling them gil or accout buyers is quite often just a display of one's ignorance.

I can agree that having to tell a high level WHM to heal is a pretty clear indicator, but a lot of other things are simply not.

If a LVL 72 BLM doesnt know what a SC is......even if that person just never cared to know about anything outside of their box. That person still deserves for ppl to assume he bought his account. Cause either way, both merit a roundhouse kick in the face....from you know who.

I'm not gonna nitpick and say that ppl should be knowledgable about all things in FFXI....but damn, you gotta get the hell out of that small little box you trap yourself in. Enlightin yourself with knowledge.....it is expected by the general masses. When your a low lvl/low rank job and obviously havent been playing FFXI long, then its expected....and kinda cute / funny. But....after you've been playing for a friggen year and still dont know shit, then damn.....I would smack you just as hard as I did to the other guy who bought his account.

Just for the record... and to totally be a nitpicking bastard.. lol Genkai = limit. Renkei= sc. thus G1,2,3,4,5. Genkai. ^^b Keep going.

That happens all the time on Leviathan.

A japanese linkshell has pretty much a monopoly on Faf/Nid and they use Brd/nin spamming mazurka and elegy to hold hate. The blms tend to go nuts on the mob and the brd never loses hate. It's quite incredible to watch. This was discussed pretty heavily on KI.

Here's from the bard forums

Here's from the leviathan forums

Mazurka cast on 6 people generates a large amount of hate, and these bard's don't even have spectacular gear. It's mostly a combination of haste +, dmg -, and vit + gear. They keep double march and haste on the bard and then spams mazurka.

Edit: Before all you people laugh, come to leviathan and watch it happen.

Edit2: Found this picture of the bard's gear.

I never said anything about Genkai. I know the differance between Genkai and Renkei O.o.......I'm guessing your thinking i'm using an example from the first post but no i'm not. I was talking about a BLM not knowing what a skillchain was. Nothing about Genkai was ever mentioned.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Some people that I know, make me wonder. They make me wonder, "Where in the fuck did that 100M+ of equipment come from?"

I know these people that don't hunt NM, don't synthesize, sit in fucking Jeuno all day, or maybe receive a max of 10M per month from their LS.

Some of them, will even ignore or refuse to tell me where they made their gil. I have no shame or regret giving away my gil income schemes.

You know who you are.

Quoted for sheer truth.

For all the hardcore, very-loud anti-RMT chest-beating around here, if the user name of every person on this forum who had ever bought or sold gil at least once was magically made to glow bright red...

Well, the obvious comparison to make is to a Christmas tree, but let's just say that I suspect the lighting up that would happen around here would humiliate a Christmas tree.

I very much suspect that some of the names of those with the loudest voices, and most ready to accuse others, might mysteriously be glowing the brightest.

No, buying gil is not an honorable or kosher thing to do, but it's not something you can tell about a person just by looking, or listening to a wild rumor (yes, even one that has been well-spread), and certainly not by a person's knowledge or skill-level. A good number of names on this forum would light up in the situation I detailed, and there would probably be at least a couple of "Quetzalcoatl celebrities" in fairly good standing with the community in the mix. No, I don't have any suspicions on who, just like I can't walk into a city and pick out everyone who's ever been arrested, but I firmly believe this.

On the other hand, I do realize this is a joke thread. So, uh...

They're a dragoon?
