Well until level 72, you can only use the Scorpion Harness anyways. (Between the two.) So its all in what you want to use at that point. 10 evasion is nice and all, but you can get so much more with the Paw body.

Id have to go with the Pahluwan Khazagand
 
Critical hits > Evasion.

Which is all that really matters for their purposes.
 
Unless your a Ninja that just cant live without the +10 eva. But you can just buy Jack-o-Lanterns for the +10 eva if you really need it. The Paw offers so much more.
 
me personaly from rdm veiw think sh better for solo encounters but pah is better in partys. I mean why would a mnk need eva (granted they do pull) hate but the 10 eva alone whould not do much on most mobs.
 
Well, the "Increased critical hit rate" on the body is reported to be broken. People are saying their critical hit rate actually decrease with it equipped. It has been parsed and seem to be true, so meh.

Firstly aint a big fan of gimping it out for 16 levels.

Secondly, Byrnie and Haubergan is better the SH, and in latter lvls is shiro togi. That is the one I can think of from the SAM perspective, not sure about you other jobs. Now I am not sure how Shiro Togi and this do when parsed vs this piece we are talking about here. I would actualy really like to see the results, but seeing as how SAM can not wear this piece... oh well.
 
This are the stats of my SH:

HP +20
Resist vs. Ice -20
Resist vs. Water +20
Resist vs. Dark +20
Accuracy +12
Evasion +12

My BLU has been using it since lvl 57 and he's a happy Mercenary. ^^

EDIT: BLU can't use the Pahluwan! ; ;

vs Acc +10 and Crit bonus

Dont even need the rest of the stats, SH lost right there for any DD job

im glad this thing is rare/ex. means you actually have to earn it. i want one for my rdm.
 
17k/20k points towards mine. I want to go for a poser manteel for my BRD next.^^
 
Like Uzor said, nobody has claimed to have increased crit hit rate with that body, and half a dozen people have parsed it and seen anywhere from a decrease in crit hits to an increase of less than half a percent. That leaves it as evasion vs racc. Rng gets the same racc on their AF body, and isn't in need of more Racc gear when they can finally equip this, so spending 20k AP on this is pointless. I could see exp party thf using this, helping stick acid bolts, or corsair, firing off their ranged weapon with a C (?) rating. Outside those two jobs, I don't see any usefulness for the body piece til they fix it.
 
Can sell your SH and for many people, that's more than enough reason.
 
I can see what he's saying.. the critical rates up aren't that high (or wouldn't be if it actually was critical up if the parses I've heard about are right where they weren't actually parsing better) but for a MNK (considering how fast they hit and whatnot) they prolly would parse just ever so higher with that so it would be good for a MNK. The rest of the jobs might not get much outta it.. and if you say "oh what about the awesome subtle blow feature?" I think you need to ask yourself why most would even wear the entire set at once when a mixture of gear will result in better stats :P

Skaw, being a MNK, obviously sees the paw body as better as it would parse for him more and help him do what he does best... and Shaunessy is a NIN isn't he? or a SAM (can't even use it anyways if SAM) so obviously being a tank he'd see SH as being better.. as a RDM I see both as being bad for the way a RDM should solo challenging things D: (though solo-ing decent challengs and lower melee-wise I guess SH would be better though our evasion is shit anyways and +10 doesn't do much >.>).

I would have to agree with stouter/lucy/whatever :P Though I could see this body as being good for only a MNK if the critical hit rate up actually does help. Though wouldn't a MNK still prolly prefer kirin's osode? or that D.Body?

nah you still need keep it sh just to good for so many jobs unless you just dont plan to lvl anouther job. Also has any complain to SE about the hit rate?

but still.. I can see the point behind it. I really can't see why one body is better than the other in general at this point. +10 evasion shouldn't matter in any group situation if you're a DD anyways D: and if you're solo-ing well I guess it would depend on the job. But for us RDMs it won't do all that much and stupid for us to solo stuff that way when we have the fun sleep gravity nuke run around and nuke methods :P
 
on side note i want them yigit hands:biggrin: them be sweet for rdm
