How do you retrieve a lost item?

A while back, SE stated that they would allow players the ability to request the return of one "tossed/lost" item.

I was wondering if anyone knows the process (do I call a GM and talk to them?) and does anyone know how recent you have to have lost the item for them to return it?

The reason I ask, is that at the beginning of the year I quested the Bibiki Shell for my PLD, and sometime later I stupidly tossed it at a crawler in xp. Don't ask me how I didn't notice it considering there's a 999 delay, I just did. ; ;

You gotta know the time and zone for them to be able to look for it. Those are the questions they asked me. And within a few hours they'll send it to you.

Lol You lost it they can only retrieve for you with in a certain time period. I tossed mine, and said screw it I'm not using the ticket for a seashell. Hell vitality doesn't do much by the time you get it. Look into a Rosenbogen.

Oye, thats going to be difficult. It was months ago when I lost it, I would never recall the day and time. I figured though because it was a quested item, and I show the quest as being complete yet I do not have the item, that they could verify that it had been tossed and somehow give me a new one.


And I do have a Rosenbogen, but now with the new change that makes it impossible to accidentally throw other items like Hedgehog Bomb, Bomb Core etc... I don't really see me needing to use my free ticket for anything else. (I think the only way i'd lose another item is if I physically toss it or have my account hacked, which seem less likely than tossing an item in battle for me)

You have a total of 7 days from when it was dropped/lost.

Yep, just had GM Subina respond to my call and she said items can only be restored within 7 days of being tossed/lost. So looks like I get to be gimped by 1 VIT ; ;

And for anyone else that reads this, and needs to know the process just make a GM call and they will help you do the rest. You just need to make sure that you make the call within 7 days of losing your item.

If this is true, i'd really like to know how you re-quest it. I've tried talking to the NPC that starts the quest, but got nothing. I did hear through a friend, that they knew someone had requested it recently but never got a chance to speak with the person directly to find out.

The following items can now be easily re-obtained in the event they are accidentally discarded:

Tavnazian Ring

Rajas Ring - Sattva Ring - Tamas Ring

Suppanomimi - Knight's Earring - Abyssal Earring - Beastly Earring - Bushinomimi

Static Earring - Magnetic Earring - Hollow Earring - Ethereal Earring

Those are the only ones.

Also Z one point that you may or may not know is that you can only have 1 item returned to you.Ever. So be wise to use that wish. I am 90% sure that it is 1 item per account if you are wondering further.

Thanks Zethren. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't lose anything else (it is possible, but unlikely imo) thanks to the new system setup where you can't toss ammo items anymore, but either way i'm still not going to be able to get my bibiki shell back ; ;

Unfortunately no, its a rare/ex. I've had a few friends offer to do that for me, and I wish it was possible. The quest should be repeatable at the very least... stupid SE -_-

Yeah, I agree...they could easily make it repeatable and drop the "Rare" tag, it's not like having multiple Seashells would give any sort of unfair advantage.

*edit* Actually, couldn't they also very easily link it to the shelling game at Bibiki Bay? Or does that make too much sense?
