For those of you who questioned the age thing let me give you a little look into the Connecticut State sexual legalities.
16 is the legal age of consent for females. 16 is also the legal age of maturity before a court, when you have but 1 chance to be tried as a child offender before turning 18. The female MUST be 16 or else the male may be charged with sexual assault of a minor, despite his age. Example, if the male is 12 and the female is 15, HE gets arrested. If the male is 10 and she is 16, there is no issue. If the female is 15 and the male is 15, HE gets arrested. See the issue? Absolutely no regard for the male's age in legal matters.
So following these legal logics, if say a 16 yr old male who had already used his "child offender" ticket to get out of a simple case of youthful stupidity, ie vandalizing or assault, he will be tried as an adult in all future cases. Now that 16 yr old dates a 15 yr old, things happen, her parents flip out. That 16 yr old is now being tried as an adult child molester, despite a less than one year gap.

I went over this hypothetical situation with the officer who at one time was in charge of all sexual assault cases in the state of Connecticut, and he was astounded at the unfair treatment possible. Now, many judges would probably throw this case out if it was consenting, but there's always that one asshole judge who likes to fuck people with his power.
