Not sure if this goes here..
Well this year's been hell and a half. My Grandmother works a part time temp job, we never know if she'll have work the next week. She's been in the hospital for serious things twice and I've started therapy and medication for bipolar disorder.
With all the bills we've rang up this year Christmas wasn't looking too good. We got a tree and put a few gifts under it, about 6. The least we've ever had.
My grandma calls me upstairs Thursday night. I go up and she tells me she heard a loud noise outside, then knocking on the door, then footsteps. So I look outside and there is a stack of presents sitting on our doorstep.
Look at the tags they are all labeled to either me or her from Santa or Mrs. Clause. So I bring them in and we opened one. Was hand lotion and some other things. Tonight we opened more and I got some new clothes, that actually are the right sizes, and she got a silverware set, that we needed badly, and a new nightgown.
So we're still guessing at who these are from. We know by the fact they got our sizes right and bought things we needed that it is one of her friends. It doesn't matter though who they are from, Christmas is my least favorite holiday but this year just from this act of leaving us gifts like that, showing that someone cares, has made it a lot better.
So ending, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and remember there are some nice caring people left in this world.
