Wondering how many times people have had to send in their 360s and had tons of time wasted, specially those of us who bought it the first day it came out and get screwed with a less than adequate system.

Anyway would be cool to know how many times people have had to send them in, noting when you bought your first one helps.

Getting sick of one fucking up all the time and buying a new one counts as a repair in my book, me personally ive had to send it in 3 times now and i bought it at launch.

Having a currently inoperable one without having sent it in yet can count as one too lol

Bought one at the end of December 2006 and it lasted until mid/late '08. When it bricked I sent it to be repaired, but bought a new one right as I decided it was done for as the new and improved hardware boxes were out. When it came back I sold it on Craigslist for an overall loss of $10. I'm still using the one I bought in '08.

Had a launch 360 that i traded in to the store i used to work at in 2008 and now i have an elite.

So to answer your poll, never.

Bought one in November 2007. It died in June of 2008 (RROD). Microsoft sent me a re-manufactured one with a warranty on it, and it died three months later. Sent it back and got yet another re-manufactured one. It worked until March 2009, then it RROD. Microsoft wouldn't fix it, even though it was within the one year warranty they gave me. I took it to a local guy who fixes them, paid him $50 and he repaired it. It RROD again after a month, and I took it back to the guy and he repaired it again at no cost.

It RROD'd again in September, and I said fuck it, cooked it in the oven, turned it on and it read the disk. I immediately took it to GameStop and traded it and my still functional PS2 for a PS3 slim.

Talk about bad luck eh?

Had mine for about a year and a half, never Red Ring'd.

Ironically on my first Xbox 360. My Wii and PS3 both been replaced.
Yeah, I'm getting ready to send my Wii in to get it's GPU fixed, apparently it's dying and causing graphical tearing on all my games. Of all three consoles, I never thought I'd ever have any problems with the Wii, but it's the only one that's developed a problem.

One. No RRoD, and not even my fault. Somebody took my 360 while I was gone, and brought it back while I was still gone. Go to play it when I got back, and it didn't even power on.

So, theoretically, I could still be sitting at 0 had it never been touched while I was away.

Same here, mine died pretty much after the warranty expired. So, count me as one. I'm not gonna bother sending it in to get a refurbished model as what's the point when the newest models way outperform the launch model 360 I have?

Where is the option for less times than my ps3? I'm on my 3rd PS3, sent my first one in twice, once under waranty, once not and then when it broke again i said fuck it and bought a slim. Sent my xbox in once, got an RRoD once, it kinda fixed itself but I sent it in anyway just in case.

3 repairs and judging by the actions and sounds coming from my current xbox, I'm sure I'll be on #4 soon enough.

Once for me. It was luckily a few days before the warranty ended so it didn't cost me anything.

I've had my Elite for a little more than a year, and I've no problems at all.

Bought new 360 in April 2006. Get rrod Sept 2007. Replacement gets rrod July 2009. Warranty out, so it gathers dust.

Husband’s 360 was sent in for repairs about two months after mine. It’s been ok so far.

3 times for me Since July '06, 2 RROD and 1 dead disk drive in between. My 2 RRODS were covered under warranty, but had to shell out $100 for the new disk drive.... which come to think of it, I no longer have because after 2nd RROD, they gave me a replacement >.<

It really sucks if you have the original model, i cant bring myself to buy a new one when i can keep getting it fixed free, it sucks it really does. I wish microsoft offered some kinda deal for people who bought it from day one and wanted to upgrade or something.

Why cant companies just make one damn model, one good one and thats it.

to think, some people still use their NES or SNES and havent had an issue with it to this day, and we've come to accept that if you get a years worth out of your 360, your in the norm.

Nintendo does. Sony does too technically, since there haven't been much improvements to the design, but they've had a lot of models.

Honestly, the more we advance with technology the more problems it creates.

The only sure fire products are blast from the past, like you mentioned.

Back to basics and we're safe.

My Atari plays perfectly, umm lets see, I've had it since I was 5, 22 years and it plays like it did out of the box. My NES is the same story, less years.
