How to draw Taru-tarus?

I'm been trying to draw Taru-tarus for months and I'm not been succesfull on it. I really want to learn how to draw them since I love that race lol.

Has anyone seen any tutorials or could give me any tips or information I should know to improve? I'm been using the Chibi drawing style but I'm not satisfied yet when I finish the drawing. Thank you in advance.

I had a problem with the size distinction when trying to draw a taru next to a galka. It's hard not to make them look Fetus small.

I would suggest downloading the model viewer. You can't make any personal poses but it gives you enough options by the means of size distance, angle, cloths, and preset actions that can be paused at any moment. The viewer makes for a great character study.

If the viewer is a nono for you then I would suggest the lame answer.... practice practice practice. Try drawing from any afk taru mule when next you are logged on. Sooner or later those nasty awkward childlike porportions will become natural... even easy to do.

For drawing Tarutaru I always make them very round. Almost like drawing Chibi characters from the 80's.
They are difficult. Your brain sees it and automatically it wants to correct the proportions. Look at some FFXI manga (or even doujinshi) that's available for download and copy some of their
stuff. www.akadotretail.com This website has some manga for sale. It lacks furigana to help translate it, but it's really funny.
Some of the expressions tell the story better than the words. (As usual with non-pro manga artists.)
