How'd he do dat??????

Criss Angel is a very good magician

I agree with you on the whole thing being staged and everyone being actors. Performance magic is all about the performance.

Lots of street magicians just pay tons of random people to participate in their stunts. If I was hanging out somewhere and a magician offered me $100 bucks to lie and say he teleported on camera, I would totally do it.

I wouldn't doubt if the guy on the roof at the end is just a look alike of Criss Angel, the camera doesn't stay on him very long, and that's on purpose I believe.

Still, magic is always fun when you think it might be real.

He definitely escapes out the backside of the trashcan, and either runs to a pre-setup short-cut to the roof, or just hides nearby while a look-a-like shows up on the roof for a short amount of time.

Also, everyone immediately around him and behind him are paid actors.

If you notice at 17-18 seconds on the video Angel asks one of the viewers on the left backside to "Come over here so you get a good view alright?" basically instructing him to "Get out from behind me fool!"

That statement alone gives away that something is definitely going on behind the trashcan, and for him to be concerned with that random guy "not having a good view," yet say nothing about the others viewing from that end implies very strongly that those others are paid actors, mainly there to block the view from behind and act surprised when the magic trick is finished.

Also I never really experiment with walkie-talkies much, but when he first talks to the woman on the walkie-talkie you can hear that high-pitched feedback noise because he is so close to her. However, when they cover him up with the trashcan and he's saying "slowly, slowly" you do not hear that feedback anymore even though he's still right next to her. Which supports the look-a-like idea by implying that there are more than 2 Walkie-Talkies, and makes sense, because Angel can't talk that calmly while huffing & puffing it to the roof.

But still, magic is all about deception, and figuring out how they do it is the fun part. Sadly there's magicians who take it too far and actually claim that they have magical powers and actually fool people into believing them, unlike a lot of professionals who, outside of their events, will admit that they are performing illusions.
