Hronorigger's Event run.

you guys are a trip.. funny stuff lol

every once in a while ill do a BC for fun..

last one i did was a KS30 infernal swarm. the bee one.
not very rewarding, but it was fun. I did it with a normal xp pt set up.
And I only used my seals and split the drops.. i didnt feel like doing 6, 1 for everyone.

now this thursday im going to do a bc for profit. I could go about this by organizing 5 other people and spending 6 hours + risk. However, since this is for profit, time is money. Id rather spend a couple hours with some blms using my seals then go about my business shortly after. I dont have to do anything but show up, and in turn they take a small cut. Sounds reasonably fair.

Im going to get a v claw, a heartsnatcher, and a few 100k gil this thursday.. or use all my seals trying ;p

and if i dont get what i want, i dont really care..nothing really lost.. seals are just a by product from my usual activities.. which usually include making money.

I don't see why there's a problem with how anyone chooses to set their KS or BS runs up. They're choosing to lead it so they're the ones setting up the terms. Whether they want to win "easily" or w/e, I'm still confused why it's a big deal...If you want to set up BS or KS runs yourself, do it the way you want, you don't HAVE to set it up a certain way with only one certain job...you can do w/e you want and make that one experience as challenging or as easy as you want depending on which group setup you prefer.

/cheer Firestreak for pointing out that if you are up for a challenge, there is plenty of that with the new CoP. One of the most exciting fights in the game is the one he's referring to with Omega and Ultima, that'll keep you on the edge of your seat and shaking for sure!

I just think it's kind of silly and boring to flame someone for simply choosing to do their KS and BS runs the way they want to. Sure, you may be frustrated, but do something about it and find some likeminded people on the game to go out and do it for you. Why try to run other people's lives and butt in to whatever they're doing just because it isn't something you would want to do?

Why are people constantly trying to run other people's lives and make their decisions for them? What happened to just doing what you want and sticking to what you want and not trying to scream and whine until you get your way and it's ruined for everyone just because some or most people decide to do things the way that you wouldn't? Why can't we all just agree politely to disagree and move on?

I want the job most adept at killing the monster in question. I don't for example take a paladin to tank Geush Urvan. I don't take a ranger to fight bones. For different fights different jobs have greater strengths. This is not an issue of skill or lack of skill. This is an issue of game mechanics. Everyone wants to see their job as always useful, but this is just a numbers game.

You may view certain strategies as skill-less, but in reality they are exclusive. They are exclusive because they have little job adaptability. Just the same, you want to fight this BC without any BLMs, be my guest. If these people who chose to use the BLM method decide that it's worth...

1) Having to do the BC 5 more times for the other people.
2) Risk potential exp loss.
3) Risk potential wipe.

All to counter the injustice of having to split the lower gil drops that are just a fraction of the Claw price with several people who put the effort in to level a job that is useful for BCs but at the same time useless elsewhere... be my guest.

Maybe we should nerf your chi blast too, because it's unfair you have a better method to claim NMs than me. Apparently the 15 jobs are really just 1 job, and all these strange strategies and advantages/weaknesses are just bugs that need to be nerfed.

Let's nerf those SMNs too, how dare 5 SMN get together and "trivialize" fenrir right? And they charge! How dare they charge!!?!?? How dare people buy too... indeed. How dare people spare themselves time and agitation and use currency to pay for services...! Maybe we should only let 1 avatar out per party at a time!

And what about those freaking asshole beastmasters!?! How dare they be allowed to camp NMs with 1 person solo that would tear my BLM to pieces! NERF NERF NERF NERF NERF NERF NERF!!!!!!!!! You are so skill-less I say, to use a damn BST to camp NM, when there's a more difficult and less rewarding way right around the corner!

Quoted for truth and because it's almost EXACTLY how I feel on the subject. Fact is EVERY job has it's strengths and weaknesses. This game is about strategy, and using the tools at hand to accomplish a goal. Like Fire said, Nins are preferred tanks sometimes, and Plds others, etc. etc. I seem to remember a time when people said that you HAD to have a Mnk to do 5-1 or papyrus. That you HAD to have a Thf for coffer key hunting. You HAD to have a Rng for this or that. The list goes on and on.

It's not up to the player playing the job to find their usefulness, purpose, work around to get things done

I couldn't possibly disagree with this more. Everyone is so locked into their own job. "OHHHHHHH I HAAAAVVEEE TO BE A MNK, YOU'DDDD BETTTERRRR INVITE ME! HOHOHOHOHO!!!"

First off, it IS up to the player to find his job's usefulness. Beyond that though, find the player's usefulness! Not job, but the player themselves. Hell, I leveled War to 30, Mnk to 12 and Nin to 15, strictly for the Prommies. We're talking from level 0 here. My CoP static had 6 people (5 now that Meeze has left), and we would discuss at length which combination would be best for what. I have now gone to BCs as 5 different jobs. To this point I have only used Blm ONE time, and it is my main. Get yourself better well rounded and make yourself useful, don't sit there trying to cram a square peg in a round hole and cry when it doesn't fit.....

He said exactly what I was feeling. You want the optimal setup for each and every event in this game. If you dont then I would call "bullshit". Esp when you have somthing to lose. When I put up my orb I want to do as much as I can to ensure victory. Our CoP static is a prime example of not "locking in" on a job. Our static has lvled several jobs for the sole purpose of having the "ideal" setup for certain fights.

All in all. If I can take a full balanced party to that BCNM or take a party of 3 or 4 blms which do you think I would prefer? Split my money 6 ways or split it less?
