Hundredfist, Brains {Do you have it?}

I had a problem with this guy a few times but on his mnk and nin. He'd afk on nin, and he was just TERRIBLE at his job. I think I took screen shots of him having a temper tantrum when we said we were going to get a replacement for him. Anyway.. this guy is terrible and has been on my 'do not party' list for a long time.

Not before level 55 (or whatever)
I already said that.

I have an idea... READ MY POST BEFORE FLAMING IT!!! I hated Bards long before I hit Lv55, and now I like them. But you were asking what my stereotypes were, and I said, because "Bards didn't do anything but ballad"
I didn't ask anything. You're confusing me with someone else. If that's what you were trying to accomplish in your post, I would suggest not weaving in and out of past and future tenses. Grammar what?!

Okay, what? lmao, grammar much?
It's not a grammar error, it's an "I edited my sentence and didn't reread it because I had to get to a meeting" error. This is what it was supposed to say. My bad. >< But honestly, it wasn't completely incomprehensible.

(Are you) fighting mobs (with) big AE's that (don't) get resisted much? Hope you have a bard.

Any job can pull if they really want to. Bards can just do it a little better than say a BLM or a WHM.

No job outranks any other job. They're all good in their own ways.
I basically stated that too, just not literally. By saying it was debatable, I was trying to imply that some people prefer bards and some people prefer RDMs for their "support role". It's situational, and therefore one isn't better than the other. I could have stated it literally, but I didn't.

The point of my post was to state that Bards are more useful than "1 mp / tick" and "20 damage per swing". I realize now what your intent was. Part of that was in my hurry to get to my meeting, and some of it was your grammar. Try sticking to one tense in your posts and misunderstandings like this won't happen as often. Try some paragraphs too. I've found them quite helpful.

9/10 Bards I partied with (when I hated them), they did just that
lmao, grammar much?

Did you? Doesn't matter, you said that all BRD have 2 Ballads. Refresh is just one spell that gives you 3. Ballad is two spells. That's one advantage right there.

Sorry, I didn't mean YOU specifically in that post. I meant this one person was asking what my stereotypes were. I meant as in "you people" because I know it wasn't just that one person. So I told you. READ the posts!

"Are you fighting mobs with big AE's that don't get resisted much?" I still don't get it. What's an AE? What are you talking about?

We agree on this, atleast.

Again... What are you talking about?

What's not to get about this? About nine of ten Bards I partied with did nothing but use Ballad.

P.S.: Try reading peoples' posts before flaming them. It just makes you seem stupid.

I partied with hundredfists on two occasions and an hour into pt he goes afk with no notice. The second time he did this, I told everyone to disband and start a new pt and invite a 6th member. 2 hrs later he comes back and /tell's me he will never invite me to his pt again. /blist <you can have this> <take care>

9/10 Bards I partied with (when I hated them), they did just that.

Proper usage of parens in a sentence such as yours would be to state something nonessential to the sentence. That means you should be able to remove it and still have a good sentence.

9/10 Bards I partied with, they did just that.

The ", they" is not necessary in your sentence. Also, the phrase in your parens is actually quite essential to interpreting your meaning.

The way you should have worded your sentence is, "When I hated bards, 9/10 that I partied with did just that." So I'm nitpicking... sue me. ^^

You don't know what AE is? OMFG, I knew you were a bit noobish, but seriously? You don't know what AE means? What game do you play again? Wow!

I wouldn't have flamed you had you either used proper tenses, or taken advantage of paragraphs. Brush up on your own grammar prior to flaming someone for their grammar; it makes you look stupid.

Okay... you STILL haven't answered my question.

Don't flame my grammar. It's better than 99% of these peoples' grammar, kid. Just so you know, round brackets can also be used for saying stuff that need not be said.

...Or do you mean AoE? Area OF Effect. That's the only shorthand I've ever heard for Area of Effect; atleast on Quetzalcoatl. So either YOU are the noob, my friend, or you're talking about something totally different, and wouldn't mind hearing what AE stands for.

Why do people keep calling a 31 year old man KID. I'm not a kid, please stop referring to me as one.

Yes. Your grammar is better than some people on this board, but that's not saying much. Also, I didn't start in on grammar, you did. I'm not a grammar nazi; in fact, I could care less if you use proper grammar. Don't flame someone over grammar unless you're sure that your usage is flawless though. You should know that, since it happens in every single post on every board when grammar is mentioned.

I hate the term AoE. "Area of effect spell" makes less sense to me than "area effect spell". I'm not sure why, I just don't like it. Does that answer your question regarding my sentence?

Just so you know, round brackets can also be used for saying stuff that need not be said.
This is EXACTLY what I said, which is that it's used to make nonessential statements. Do you need to look up the definition of nonessential?

Actually, AE and AoE both make sense..
AE = The type of spell/effect it is
AoE = The spell/effect's range

I know Mishaela, but when I use the term AoE/AE, I'm almost always referring to the type of spell. To me, saying "AE spell" seems more correct. Not that the other term is necessarily wrong mind you. I just don't like it.

I would also assume that most people who use AoE would know what AE stands for, and it's not American Eagle. ^^

It's like saying ROFL... "Rolling On Floor Laughing", in that case, anyway.

Why do I call you kid? Why do I call everyone "kid"? I've learned to roleplay the Thnikkaman a little bit. No, my name wasn't completely random, made up, and stupid, it IS from something.

Thnikkaman>> Hey, kid!
Strong Bad>> Can we have some?
Thnikkaman>> Yeah, whatever.
Strong Bad>> Thanks, Thnikkaman! (Thanks, Thnikkaman!)
Thnikkaman>> Yeah! Shut-up, kid!

LOL, I'm xp with him at THIS VERY MOMENT. We are at Bibiki Bay and hes the BRD. He didn't go anywhere in the 4 hrs the PT went on. Maybe hes reformed. lol

ps. He's a good BRd too.

ive pt with hundred fists many times and it has always been great. from 55-67 off an on. he does go afk some days alot other days not at all. i dont care if he does or not. he yells at stupid ass melee who dont line up right yes he does but they should learn how to play in a bard pt situation instead of just standing there and swinging a spear. when he is with me he gives me the songs i want for rng while other bards get confused when i say i dont want prelude, he watches for finale, other bards also get confused about this and being a 75 rdm that really pisses me off cause i always see the buff ups but usually arnt taken care off cause of lack of skill. we just got 10k xp in 1 hour and half of cource it was a good pt with the good DDs mnk rng rng brd smn nin but i know for a fact minuet makes my WS hit for 200 more so hundred fists is always welcom in my pts. ppl that dont like him dont deserver him cause whether its family medical GF problems that causes him to fall asleep or go afk alot whatever.

lol W/E

1.) going afk during a party setting for 30-40 minutes un-announced is unexceptable.

2.) You're in the same ls and here just defending a ls mate.

3.) exp leeching is exp leeching

4.) if he's got real life issues, he needs to be dealing with those, not exp'ing and playing a game.

5.) If he's tired, then he needs to bow out, or not seek at all.

Exp'ing is a team effort, obviosly he thinks he's above all of that, or doesn't get the concept. You're only making excuses for him, why should i bust my ass off so he can leech for a half hour or more? All you did was make excuses for him cause he's in your ls or is a friend. If you don't see Bungle's point, then you're a noob just like Hundred.

From what ive seen and heard from others, he goes afk thinking he will leech exp and everyone will be fine with it. He doesnt say anything, just goes afk for hrs (if you wait that long) without notice.

Well he is a leech Matchuu, whether you believe it or not.
I don't care if hes got R/L problems, and if he does, he shouldn't be playing, if these problems are so serious.
LOL who cares, LS mate/ex LS mate, same bloody thing, you're sticking up for the dumbass because hes your friend.
LMAO "Bards don't need to leech", this one does lol.
Don't stick up for him Matchuu, it makes you look bad too, and I know you're a good guy.

Kind of a necro, but at 69 things haven't changed. Went AFK for 3-4 fights, only came back right when we were considering D2ing him and getting a RDM.
