Yeah, it could obviously be worse - doesn't EVE online have nightly maintenence?

Nightly maintenance is generally good in my experience with MMOs. They tend to have a lot less problems and those nightly maintenance last nowhere near as long because they don't have to spend 5 hours making a backup and then screw it up and do it again.

However I think it's staggered in EVE, I play it sometimes.. and i've left my character on overnight before when I fell asleep and got up and it was still on.

I sometimes find myself missing it.. but I spent from beta till 5 something years in that game.. nowadays the game is like 200% different from what it used to be from what I hear on my site.

I am starting too feel like someone else that brought this up that if they are going too continue too have problems like this then we should not be billed for this month. This is bullshit. Just got DCed out of game and now I am stuck on a Retrieving Messages message. Proably going too have too hit the x and close it.

Most likely. I hadto temp log for a bit and camp back, it was still at the "retrieving messages" screen...hadto force-close FFXI, now it won't connect to POL...was in the middle of apretty decent BST XP-ing-ness, too ><

Yeah I just did it. Hate doing it cause of the whole concept of character data might loose some data or however they say that. Had too do it last night and I did notice one time I lost a set of macros I was working on for my theif. Scares me too log on and find equipment missing ><. Hope that never happens.
