Hurricane Ike

We got about 2 1/2 days worth of straight rain here in NW IN. Flooded my basement and we've been cleaning it for the past 2 days. My carpet STILL isn't dry...

Still, I feel bad for all those people in Texas who got hit with the brunt of the storm. My thoughts go out to you.

I have family in Galveston and their ok, but their homes = not.
 
My Husband and I live about 10 mins from galveston in Texas City i can say everything around our area is bad but not that bad alot of trees and fences down but we didnt get hit as bad as galveston. My dad and stepmom are still on the island and wont leave but thankfully they are putting the martial law in effect so everyone has to get off of the island . Texas city dike is now gone which is hard for alot of people but then again our dike and levy system saved Texas City from getting flooded.My husand and I were going to try and go get my dad today but no luck there they took the look and leave effect away from everyone which really sucks but oh well i know my dad will be safe in a couple of days.
 
Oh god I bet it was hot as hell. After the rain passed by through my area it was friggin' sticky as hell. I thought I was back in Alabama for a while.
