lol i live about 40 miles from there Asp, supposed to get up to 140mph winds where i live at around 9am tomorrow morning i believe, good luck man.

that picture made me laugh XD

Get out. Now. What the hell do you have to prove trying to stare down a Category 5? The levees are going to break and all of NO is gonna be under about 30-40 feet of water.

Unless you've got a pressing appointment with God/Buddha/insert deity here tomorrow, I'd suggest you pack up and head out ASAP. Please don't risk your lives over this.

I'm with cubs on that one.

No one questions the sack of a man running from assured destruction.

'Course i'm a timid guy when it comes to natural disasters, earthquakes are about all i'm built to be ok with -.-

Definitely get out, I may be nowhere near that thing, but you bet your ass if I heard it was coming I'd have gotten the hell outta dodge days ago. There's a difference between balls and stupidity. Hell, if the highways were deadlocked I'd be WALKING my ass outta there, Impending Natural Disasters are nothin' I wanna mess with.

And remember:

"It's not THAT the wind is blowin'.... it's WHAT the wind is blowin'."

Im in Tampa, she wasnt that bad to us, just a lot of winds, and rain. But Pennsicola and all that up north they are in for a ride, you should move out. Category 5 has winds up to 140mphs, not with the risk =/.

I survived Andrew 13 years ago.GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

BTW Miami got hit by Katrina on thursday as a category 1 and did a bit of damage.

wow! Good luck to all you guys. But you know what....I doubt there are many in the "hurricane-club," so go fetch that significant other of yours and go for it.

j/k That should actually be read: "Get your asses to somewhere safe."

Thankyou for the Ron White reference Lecan ^^

Hehe, anytime mate, anytime. But in all seriousness, please, if you're in the path of this bad mammajamma, GTFO of the way ASAP..

Hmm, you really should get outta there while you can, this thing looks pretty bad and it'd be sad to suffer such a loss because you didn't wanna leave your home... The internet will probably go down, and it's almost definate that you're power will go, so you're gonna have to sit in your basement and wait for a day or so for it to pass

{Run away!}

its obvious that all the highways are dead-locked, so just grab the nearest truck, go off-roading, and try and get the hell out of there ASAP. just remeber to bring your computer/PS2, FFXI is always here for you....

I would NOT be anywhere neare New Orleans right now, and that's not just a flippant remark. It's not safe.

*kinda off topic but only slightly*

Is there a scientific basis for weather patterns changing for the worse within the last 10 years or so? Lately i've been engaged in numerous conversations with people who have stated that on whole they've seen the weather patterns around here change drasticly since they were children (ages ranging from 20-70). Storm directions changing, more natural disasters, etc. I attempted to find something about this on google but was presented with articles i'dve had to pay for or articles written 6 or more years ago v.v

Anyway .. hurricanes suck, best wishes to all caught in the path, stay safe :(

Edit: Apperantly we get to look forward to dealing with this thing while it's still somewhat nasty on tuesday night in TN. Translation: NO POWER FOR YOU 3 days! how i do love TVA -.- it even THINKS about raining out here i lose power, 60+ mph winds should be a hoot.
