Hybrid Gear..../em is lost

So i finally got started on DRK as my main...been gearing up my subs for a long time for this job. Anyway, im at a loss for what I should focus on. I need dex because Im an elf and need it either way because im a melee dd. But i also need INT for my spells. What should i do? Should i focus more on DEX than INT, balance them, INT over DEX? Unfortunately, i dont have any DRK friends, so I have nobody I know to be a decent DRK to sort of emulate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As a Drk, I can tell you DEX is the way to go. I'm also an Elvaan, so I can tell you that each miss will be costly. So you're going to want to buff up dex as much as possible. INT, for me, doesn't really appear to be an issue as I've almost never had a spell be resisted.

Dex stuff is good, I think I can't really say anymore than what's been said.

As far as eq goes, really, if you leveled warrior up to atleast 30 you can basically use the exact same gear untill then, except your gonna need dex + rings. If your rich enough id say go for accuracy boosting stuff once you can get it. But thats generally costly. I wish I could have gotten a Valkyre Mask(+10 mp, +7 attack) but damn, those things are hell of expensive..

You can pretty much stick with defense gear till its time to wear RSE, as there isnt really that much dex eq out there before those levels. Elvaan RSE is the bomb for drk, heck you saw me.. I was still wearing it at 43, and its goood up until you reach 45 I think. Even after then its probably best to still wear the hand and feet RSE, but please please change your body and leg armor by 45 and ditch the last two RSE pieces at 50. I'd tell you what to replace them with.. but I just woke up and my brain can't remember what eq im using.

If you dont plan on leveling any other job past RSE gear usage then you might as well sell it and make a pretty penny. I'm keeping mine, but thats because im eventually going to work on other jobs.

Accuracy is something you should really concentrate on before I Dex I would say. If your not landing hits then your just a gimpy mage. Accuracy equipment is expensive but, so are other items for other jobs.
Just like how you would get pissed if the other peopled skimped on their equipment and skills, you shouldn't skimp out either. The Valkyre Mask is expensive but not much different than leaping boots for a THF. It sucks, but the game is not all about leveling. Sometimes you gotta take a break and make some money.

Also, level your THF before you get to 60. Once you get to 60, everyone wants a DRK/THF. We dish out too much hate with DRK/WAR and cause headaches for the Tanks and healers(I'm speaking from experience ).

I have thf at 20 currently, which is what I planned on subbing once i hit 30 for SA, unfortunately, warr is only at 10, i dont think thats a HUGE problem, because it not going to play any special role in my job for a long time. But again, im subbing thf at 30 and once i hit 60, ill want to switch to Sam sub. My sam is lvl 37, took it up high enough to max at 75. Im being told, however, that ppl wont want a DRK/SAM. The whole reason I wanted to be a suicide knight is to hold back, a job that requires skill on your own part to avoid eating it, and less reliance on ur pt to properly perform ur function. *sighs* Plz tell me that I didnt have my head in the clouds and dreamed of being this insane dmg dealer when nobody would want me.

Honestly DRK/SAM you will most likely not get a PT invite in the higher lvl's. I was a DRK/WAR for the longest time, I'm talking 68~69ish it was hard enough finding a PT with that sub. With SAM I would think it would be even less. With War alone I was causing so much hate. Now start adding DRK SC spaming into the mix and you are one Dead DRK.

DRK/SAM is a good job to go farming or just to show off and mess around with, but not a good XP PT character. I highly recomend you get WAR to a least 30 and THF to 37.

I would think with DRK/THF, post 60, you don't have to hold back nearly as much. You can use WS whenever ready, which means mob dies quicker, and you place the hate on the tank, which means you live longer.
