/comfort Fitz, I'm sorry to hear that. I've had a.. not so friendly experience with him before as well, with his friend Bender. Poor attitudes, poor player skill.. different story for a different time.

Sorry again Fitz. :(

Anyone know Wolfsbane? My Linkshell friend brought a shield for 1.9million by accident. He was going for the HQ one but somehow the cursor moved up 1 and made the same mistake. I'm trying to search for him as of now, I hope he's not like this. Sorry about your loss and bad encounter with this person, Fitz.

Ouch I know a friend that bid 2.5mil for a 800k item i can say i know how that feels...

Sort of off subject but don't you hate when the price of something you just paid for goes down, when you need to make some gil so you sell it and get about 1/2 of the gil you put into it back? Man that {Burn}s me

Fitz that sucks, ima have a lil chit chat bud.

His reaction to it is completely irrelevant to it at all. At first he says he's spent it all, and then when you confront him on it and say that you know he still has it, he changes his mind and says that he needs it more than you and "if you can afford a sniper ring then you have more gil than me"(paraphrased.) He could've even sent you 1mil back and been happy with a 500k profit. That is truly crappy.

But it's all fair game - .-" sucks how greedy people are but, I said this in a different post, it's basically your fault. :/

indeed.. /sigh

LOL 1.5M FOR AN ELECTRUM RING
you got shafted

No offense, but aren't there like 3 confirmation messages on bidding now? =/

Plus, he'll understand when he misbids and gets shafted too, don't worry.

Yeah that's sort of fucked up man. I sold a H harpe on the AH house for 3mil and gave it back and got shit fom the person who ran the bcnm that it dropped from, for giving the gil back to the rightful owner.... Another reason why I quit the game. Ethics are not in the fucking game or life hardly if ya look at it any more. This game is going to hell. Thank God these people don't run the country. Unless they are these ass out 14-15 years old then I have to say the country may go to shyt no wonder Chavez says this shit. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12801930/ specifally pointing out "In a two-hour speech Saturday while in Vienna, Austria, for a summit on Latin America, Chavez said that the “final hours of the North American empire have arrived.”" Let's not hope these young fucktards are not the country's future. And FYI I'm not demorcatic or republican just voting for the right man who is the most ethicial.

This is similar to the Lanien-Karahan incident. Unfortunately it's not entirely possible to villainize someone in these cases. Granted a nice person would understand the mistake and reach an amicable agreement, but not doing so is hardly a ToS violation. The AH has more confirmation messages than a McDonald's coffee has heat warnings. It already goes too far to cater to the careless. Losing a million gil sucks, but if you're spending a million gil, and you think a million gil is important to you, it might be a good idea to actually look at the screen while you spend it. One day, we're gonna have a post where some guy spends AH-limit gil - 99,999,999 or something on a crawler calculi thinking he was buying a kraken club. People don't pay attention when they toss millions of gil at this crap. I know I do. A million gil is so hard to come by, I check my order more times than can be imagined.

sucks he wouldnt send some back, but some people look at it as a free lottery win.
some poor fool sent me 3mil on a 300k item once, rk breeches i think it was.
i gave him back his 2.7m and told him to be more careful when bidding on the ah in the future.
hell i get upset if i overbid 5k, i think id log off and strap myself if i overbid a mil.

If i had 1.5m gil for every "I overbid" post on QCDN, id have lots of gilzorz.

Sorry about your misfortune, greed is what makes this game fun, yet ruins it all at the same time. If he had given it back, this post would be in Good Times...

lol Sorry about your loss, but I got you beat in the "stupid overbid" department lol

Why anyone would try to get their money back after they overbid on something is beyond me. I've overbid on stuff multiple times and never bothered to find out who the seller was/ask for it back. If the gil comes back, great, good for me. If not, I chalk it up as me-being-an-idiot tax and eat the loss.

Asking for the gil back puts people in a horrible situation. You're not asking. You're blackmailing. You can sugarcoat it if you want, but all those conversations boil down to is "Give me back the gil I didn't mean to spend or else I'll say bad things about you" and I don't think the seller is under any obligation to return the gil or even listen to what you have to say.

I had someone threaten to both call a GM AND have all his friends MPK me over something like this.

He overbid 20k on some random level 40 weapon I put up.

My advice? Don't furiously click through all the menus Square makes you say yes to before you bid. Take the two seconds you need to make sure that yes, you want to bid on this, and yes, you want to pay that price.
