My computer was crap before so I couldn't play it. When I first got my PC the already merged in Graphics card was a bullshit S3 card. A year later I had upgraded to a Radeon 9600. Now I was able to play Half Life 2 with Medium texture compression and little lag (My computer runs at 2.2Mhz while Half Life 2 needs to be run with a computer with 2.6 Mhz which is retarded). Anyway, I beat Half Life 2 on normal and now I am satisfied. I WANT TO PLAY F.E.A.R.!!! ><

Half life 2 runs surprisingly well for me even on weaker systems. I played it on an old amd 1.4 ghz and geforce 2 with low-medium settings for a bit and got pretty good frame rate (this was before the most recent patch that fubared everything).

I'm looking forward to the episodic expansions they're going to start releasing for Half-Life 2.

It was a very very hard game to finish. At parts of the game it got so tough it was nuts.

Half Life 2 was very short :| not bad but way too short for me :P

Very hard? I don't remember running into anything too tough. Hardest was the big rebelion fight against multiple walkers. After you get the upgraded gravity gun, its a fun cake walk. Now quake 4 has a few hard parts.

i lost intrest in everygame i owned when i got ffxi :( but i still own them all wtf is that all about ;)

{Congradulations} you could pull your self away the finish that game lol

Not the entire game was hard. There were a bunch of parts of the game that illeteratly kicked your ass. It was fun as hell to play though. It was a good break from FFXI though I'd have to admit. FFXI is like the only game I play now! ><

Eh, HL2 is really not that hard. Dont get me wrong, the game kicks ass and is really good. Personally, I just think that HL1 was much harder.....idk maybe it is just me though.

Screw the Striders. They were easy compared to getting to the f'n horse statue.

Ya know, I got HL2 the day it came out and I played it quite often. I would hardly consider it a short game though. I haven't even beaten it yet, granted I stopped playing sometime after that level in the city where you have a whole squad of followers.

For some reason or another the last few times ive decided to give it a try, it's been freezing up every so often, not in the same places either, but it will happen and well.. it sucks.. completely freezes up my pc. When I first got the game that never happened ><. So ive given up on HL2 till I can figure out whats wrong with my pc.

But... I did buy F.E.A.R. a few weeks back. Let me tell you, that game is awesome, but.. it IS short. I beat it about a week ago. It's an exellent first person shooter and an exellent gaming experience all around, but don't expect your traditional FPS ending, that's all ill say about that, well and... I can't wait for a sequel!!! That game is just awesome, even on the medium settings which I had to play it at just so my pc could handle it, it looks amazing. I can only drool in wonder of what a top notch PC would run it like. Bullet time should so be in every FPS from now on. XD

HL2 probably one of the best games i ever played. I just love the new Source graphic engine, made the gravity gun something to look forward to. But yeah you ever wanna just have fun with the game get Garry's Mod ( www.garry.tv/garrysmod ) which allows you to play with the phisics and what not. Just avoid the forums, the ppl on there are total assholes, and the moderators run the place like Nazi Germany.
