I broke PoL :O! suggestions ^^;

Sup Reya, just thought i'd share something that usually helps me out;

Do a System Recovery (if someone said this already, sorry, i really didn't read all the posts.)

It's as simple as that. Do a system recovery to like a day before you broke yer PoL. Works 110% for when i break stuffs in my PC =)

Is it just me or is this a "Holy shit Blazn is coherent" moment?

Sorry about your POL Reya. Best suggestion is a full reinstall but I really don't think that's a wonderful option as it takes FOREVER to update. Good luck and godspeed.

been slowing down when typeing lol as i have almost finished all my CW and mose the time i am doing CW and on QCDN. i am trying my best lol

I'm not sure which ffxi files you are referring to. It doesn't touch the game files. It will wipe out your screenshots, downloaded pol backgrounds, music selection, and various other settings in pol, but it doesn't touch the ffxi game.

**my usual obligatory PSA about fooling with fixing FFXI**
Let's not forget the occasional win.ini and win.cfg changes it feels like pulling out during a uninstall/install fix. Windows goes mental without those amd you run a 50/50 shot of them being uninstalled along with FF on any given day.

c:> program files>playonline>FFXi those files
 
I'd rather take tech advice from some outsourced "Tech Guru" from somewhere in middle india, than Blazn.

That would be the complete ffxi game. Again, if you go under add/remove programs and select only "Playonline Viewer and Tetra Master" it won't remove any of ffxi. Under add remove programs you should see three for FFXI, FFXI Zilart, and FFXI CoP. As long as you aren't selecting those, you are fine.

I've reinstalled a corrupted POL twice by doing this. It doesn't affect ffxi, but you do lose all your pol settings.

Yep, that's what I've done as well, it only affects your POL viewer and Tetra master schtuff :D

so Reya if you do what Rones said it would work, as well as Blazn's BUT it would be most safe/secure/fast with Rones way of doing this^^

np :P my POL crashed alot mainnly error 1972 but i learnt to fix it ^.^ had long talk with tech people to POL did you use the hammer btw?
