I've been playing chess since I was like... 6 or 7 I think. 3 Moves ahead is bullshit. Maybe if I'm stoned.
No offense but that's a stupid way to play chess. The entire strategy that makes it a complex gamei s based on certain strategies of putting pressures and setting traps based on those pressures. If pieces no longer have value it's just checkers where the pieces move funny.

you know what is worse then a bad chess player? It's that Ranger that goes around talking about bad chess players. Synical must think that chess is like playing ranger you have to time your shots based on your mobs. Or are you trying to say that playing FFXI with all the japs is like a chess game. You need to wait for the right momment for them to mess up so you can laugh at them. I just think that Synical is running out of ideas to talk about so he brings up random ideas, and since he just lost to a bad chess player he decided on this

When I want to give a weaker player an advantage I will tell him when he has made an obvious mistake and explain why, so they learn. Then let them take it back.
