now some no name announcer and drew carey are doin it and i cant watch it anymore

I haven't seen Drew do his thing yet, so I can't pass judgement. I was never a big Drew Carey guy, but lame-game-show-host seems like it would be perfect for him.

Plus, Barker was a game-show god, but the Price is Right is awesome because everyone yells at the tv while watching the show. Yelling things like "20! No, 20, you ass!" or "$1500 for a coffee pot?! Does it come with a hooker?" is what makes the Price is Right so good.

Rod Roddy did in fact die of colon and breast cancer in 2003.

Drew Carey is not a satisfactory substitute for Bob Barker, but let's be honest.

I've watched Drew TPIR twice and it just isn't right. He tries too hard. Once he relaxes and learns his job better I'm sure he'll be fine. I think we're all just used to Bob being the host literally our entire lives so obviously it'll take some getting used to the change.

I watched Drew Carey's first show, it was alright. It'll probably just take some time to get into the role & he should improve. Let's face it, half the show is also the crazy contestants, so atleast that shouldn't change. Rappa is right in how were just so used to Bob Barker being the host, it's damn near impossible for anyone to fill that role so soon. I say give him a few weeks, and then see how he turns out. Better than Rosie though, that would have been terrible to watch.
