People that are not performing their job well or someone whining about how the xp sucks when the purpose it was pulled was too build up TP before they go pull something harder. quote]

I swear I'm one of the only NA's that gets this. I am the puller 9/10, and can't for the life of me, figure out why NA's don't like to chain. I try to chain for 4's and 5's ending with an IT and a skill chian. But after the first or second pull I get: IT only!!.

I just don't get it....

/sigh

Rune as far as I know everyone thinks you're great ... personally I just think you're loggin' in during the wrong hours ...

All I can say is I would love to party with you again ... try to get your Thf to lvl 50 and I'll get on War and we'll tear up some major mobs  ...

Start up your PT is all I can give. Mnk's life ain't better eighther. During my course of leveling I can count the times I got invited with my fingers. Making an initiative is one step to the bright future. Not only you will be able to form up a party but you will get valuable experience being a leader, learning the flaws of your PT, and making it better for the next time.

If you cannot form a full PT, go with 3~4. I am betting you can get 3 people. Just do T~VT only avoiding IT mobs. Even though your exp is not so good compared to a 6 men PT, its better than wasting countless hours in jeuno. If you cannot find a mage, then sub yourself a whm. Drink pine juices (its cheap to make, cheap supply in kazam) and go with 4 melee. I did like 4 ~ 5 times with structure like mnk drk thf war all subbing whm, constantly drinking juices and gimped ourself using mage gears. Exp was not that good but not bad eighther. Fun experience aswell.

My timezone is not helping with PTing in weekdays eighther, yet here I am having two jobs past 70. Used my weekend for exping, and weekdays for farming. I made nearly 90% of my PTs. This is how I leveled fast, even as a monk who is having trouble getting PTs from 51~65.

Shia speaks the truth. I had to go through lvl 55-69 starting up my own PTs. And from doing so i can honestly say never had a problem forming a within a certain amount of time... except the constant (I don't speak english) JP onry reply kind of got annoying after awhile.

Thanks for all the replies. I've taken time to re-evaluate why I play the game, and what keeps me playing the game.

-Friends
-Having fun
-Having fun with friends
-My LS

EXP parties and being "high level" is not that exciting to me, imo. Farming for months or spending a mil to level up a craft to make good gil isn't my idea of a good time, while it might be fun for others to be the "strongest" character out there, I'm just out here to have fun. Hell, I even call my LS the cheesy-ass name BigFun, which is awful grammar, but I don't care. If I go HIGH, the highest I can see myself going in any job is 60, and that would just to have fun playing around in my full AF. I have no desire to slay the gods on this game, become level 75, do EVERYTHING there is to do, etc. I have too much fun talking to friends and being able to party with them no matter the job (I have so many I am constantly leveling), and I think the way I run my LS makes the game fun and more enjoyable for more people.

I started to get too tied up into the "race" people can get into when they see their friends advancing further than they are. Will the Peacock Charm really affect my life in any way after I've spent about a month or more of my time saving up for it? Or Optical Hat? Not really... I can't take that outside of game in any way shape or form (except maybe selling it to some guy with too much cash on his hands on Ebay). I'd much rather just keep forging friendships that I can extend outside of the game when/if I stop playing. Right now this is my attitude, and think the community part of the game is what is so wonderful about it, not the GAME part of the game, although that is nice as well. Besides, it's all fun and nice to be level 75. But there will come a day that I'm done playing this game, and being level 75 in one MMORPG doesn't effect my life in any way. However, the people that I was given the opportunity to meet throughout my gaming experience makes it WELL worth the time invested, and I think a lot of people lose sight of that fact, and are probably going to end up unhappy/frustrated if they play just to be "the most powerful", because there will always be someone who WILL spend more time than you, and WILL have better ways of making gil. Just do what makes you happy. Right now, for me, having a slew of jobs I can level with my LS friends is pretty much gravy :) I just have fun partying with friends and meeting new friends through them! That's how it goes for me...

Again, thanks for all your responses. ^^

That said, my equipment is pretty much top of the line, with a few exceptions, so that really can't be the reason why I'm not getting invites. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I've seen DRG (supposedly the least wanted class next to summoner by the gaming public, I don't believe this personally but what can you do about what people thing) in my LS gain 15 levels in a 2 week period, getting constant invites without even forming their own parties and recently hitting level 50 and passing me up...

If the DRG in your Linkshell you're refering to is me, let me make it clear that in all my time from lvls 30-52 (currently) I may have recieved 3-4 invites and started at least 2 dozen partys myself. I dont know if DRG really is one of the most unwanted jobs (and i totally disagree that SMN is) but I was told early on by a good friend that if I ever wanted to get hi-lvls, that I would HAVE to form my own partys, and thats what I've done. The majority of people, Ive found, are just sitting there waiting for someone else to takeinitiative to start the partys. If you can't do this (won't, don't know how, or whatever reason) then yes, you are wasting your time, and are better off playing a game you can solo in, or finding a job like WHM or PLD that are always in demand. Hate to say it, but you're own motivation is the only thing that can hold you back in this game I find.

I hope you decide to stick with it Rune, cause I know Ive always enjoyed partying with you, and I'd love to again in the future.

I understand your vision of having fun. Untill it lasts that vision is the key of you enjoying the game. However the mechanics of MMORPG is not kind towards that vision. Playing with friends could be fun, but soon to be facing a wall of being too difficult for your current state. Hence the leveling takes place. In order to succeed in level gaining you require up to date gear in order to participate in such groups. (not true for Exp pt of friends)

Since you seem to have a good portion of friends, slowly advancing in level is one method of enjoyment. Then when you are adequate level you can start doing those fun stuff, like try beating this NM, going to higher missions, attempting to do Zilard missions and so on.

Like myself, I have leveled most of my play time in order to do missions and quest which required some high level to even attempt it. Last night we have finally put up a group of 4 people in tackling mission 5-2, which of course can be done around 60s. My whm friend has finally became rank6 after 70levels being whm and smn (with fenrir), now he opened up zilard missions.

I have a NA friend who is the first person to put into my friend list. He taught me how to play this game, the PT structure, lotting system and helpfull advices. Now he is nowhere high level. He is still 55 and he was there seeking help for his AF (saw his search comment). I have decided to return him the favour. I played my monk, brought my whm friend and just 3 of us we have fought deep in Eledime Necropolis for his coffer key. We proceeded in coffer search and finally we have helped completing his dark spark portion of the AF quest. Finally after weeks, he was a proud owner of his AF gloves. None of this I could help him if I did not have a high level character.

Leveling itself is boring, frustrating at times. But it helps you in doing certain things, which one of them could be helping your friend in aquiring an item which is ranked high at lower levels. For I, HNM, Dynamis is our of my reach. But not regretting them. It is part of the "one day I may want to attempt it" portion of my gaming experience. Right now I have alot of jobs which I want to try, alot of missions, quests remains. Slowly I will tackle them with my ls, which slowly is getting geared up for this event.

P.S. Many hard core gamer who once I partied in the past is now higher rank than me. They tried alot of HNMs, they did alot of dynamis runs. Its a matter of "when" and "how fast" you want to attempt in those fields. I chose to wait up for my friends in my ls. Hence my low rank, and low experience on low end content even when I have 2 jobs which are 70s.

Where the hell is the edit button -_-;

low end content = high end content...

Well, I have plenty of gil to supply -all- of the jobs I level (hehe), thanks to an in-depth knowledge of farming, so gil and keeping my equipment up to date or even elite for my level ranges won't be too much of a problem. ^^

I don't even care about HNM and all that stuff right now. I just want to level my crappy low-mid level jobs because I think it's fun :)

Rune, if you left I don't know what i would do..............I would be completely inconsolable for a good 30 mins, heck maybe even an hour  My faith in a decent universe would be shaken, maybe even shattered, so you can't leave, at least not until I do

Hail to the cheif!!!

oh, since you said you had such an in depth knowledge on farming, could you give me some pointers? Im tired of being poor, and of being a disappointment to my fellow mages.
