I got bad news, and good news.....MGS4 is delayed :\

I am not a huge MGS fan (beat the first PSX game, played the second and never finished) but I am always a fan of games coming out complete. One thing I tire of is how some publishers feel fine releasing a "playable" but buggy version and just have a "we'll patch it later" attitude. So a big thumbs up to Konami for delaying it.

I may pick this version up but it isn't on my short list of must buy games.

I think we all saw this coming anyways.

It's not really that surprising considering it's a MGS game that it'd get delayed, but I don't see where the good news is.

Everyone already knew it was going to kickass and assumed it wasn't going to release with bugs. Obviously it's better to get a delay than get released on time bugged. If they add some new features, or do something to make it better than we all thought, then there's good news.

Only real positive I guess is that a few months = more PS3s out there so it'll sell better, but doesn't really help me personally as a gamer.

Just hope Killzone doesn't get delayed too, not that much on the horizon between January and GTA4.

Well UT3 is February now, and don't forget LittleBigPlanet. I can see myself having a lot of fun with that game.

I hear UT3 is up in the air and they're hoping for December if they can.

Littlebigplanet will be awesome. Also is bound to be some Holiday games I can pick up that I'll have missed in this clusterfuck.

Sorry to bring this from the dead. Just was reading MGS is not coming till June 17th now??? Lol. I think i told you not to expect the game for a loooooong time. Lazy to find the post but this type of thing annoys me. Delays are expected sure and sometimes improve the game so no harm. But promise after promise gets annoying. Come on you odd shade wearing kojima my ps3 needs something to make it more then a BR player lol.

All I'm really looking forward to in 2008 is MGS4, Littlebigplanet, Killzone, Haze, and White knight story. Guess there's GT5P, MLB 08 and Rainbow six: vegas 2 too. I don't know if any of these games will hit for months. At least there's 2007 games I'll be playing for a long time, and some I haven't even bought yet I want.

Not looking forward to GTA 4? D: hehe :P

Truth Fire. At least there are games from 07 that will last a while.

Update: All sites are reporting MGS4 will be released on June 12th. Good deal, since that is my birthday.

I believe that when my shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet. Seriously, not getting my hopes up till I see a commercial/posters/wet dreams.

Aren't they pretty much finished and have started beta testing for MGS Online on the game or something?

Anyways, I'm glad they are putting alot of effort into making it 100% perfect and not rushing it.

"Working closely with our retail and publishing partners and sharing
our hardware and software roadmaps at Destination PlayStation gives us a
great opportunity to outline some key milestones for the year. In response
to incredible demand, we will be manufacturing more 80GB PS3s for North

I haven't heard anything about a bundle in the EU but MGS4 is supposedly a worldwide release so any news should be released soon.

Keep an eye on this website: http://threespeech.com/blog/

It seems to be EU focused.
