I has a problem

Still having the problem after clearing the cache and turning the xbox vertical. Though, it only happens on Splinter Cell D.A. My brother and I both played Oblivion for about two hours last night, no problems what so ever. I went and read Harry Potter for a while (so it had time to cool), came back and it froze during the first loading screen.

Guess I got a borked DA, eh? No scratches on the game disc, worked fine until the third mission where now it just likes to .. freeze.
 
Realy not sure. Two of my games have done something close. Forza2 became glitchy, textures dissapeared and lookes as if i was playing on frames of the images lol. The Bigs also messed up. Was fine one day, next day i could not get passed the logo screen. I went back to EB games with both and got new copies. They work now. May not be your same issue tho.
 
I thought it was just banned from xbl and thats why he wanted a new one?
 
my friend who lives here has had to send his out, mine got banned from xbl but i found a way around it some time ago, just gotta work some kinks out before i actually go online and upgrade to ixtreme.
 
Verticle consoles, with the exception of the Wii, is entirely for show. I'd still set a Wii horizontal though, but it alteast has a base designed well enough so that it won't tip over. Ever.
 
err, yes, I meant horizontal. That's how it will stay as I've not had ANY problems with it except for Splinter Cell DA freezing. So it must be the game.

Either way, thank you for all the help everyone. ;D

We can probably keep this topic alive as a trouble-shooting thing for any one with 360 problems.
 
Well, no, guess not. Still freezes.

I put it horizontal, gave it a hard reset, removed everything from the box.. I put it infront of a fan. It'll freeze now when I'm watching movies, playing Xbox arcade.. generally, using my xbox. How do I send it back to microsoft?

thats what happened to my friends before his RROD, 1800-4my-xbox
 
Guess I'll just bump this one. Just started having problems today. Was playing Soltrio Solataire of all the random things and had a lockup. Didn't really think anything of it so I restarted my 360 and tried out the game demo I'd finished downloading while playing solataire and had a quick lockup. Turned it off for about an hour and turned it on and cleared the cache since I'd been playing Oblivion lately. Cleared the cache and solataire played fine for about 15 minutes. Then booted up Oblivion and it locked up within 10 seconds of gameplay. Do I have a RRoD to look forward to in my near future? :/

Edit: Just turned it back on again and RRoD'd.

That's what happened to mine. Kiss your PHREE-SICHTY goodbye for about 3 weeks. D:
 
I did the next best thing, I took it to a store and exchanged it for money towards an ELITE and picked that up. I lost a few gamesaves but I put almost everything onto memory card beforehand so I didn't lose much and nothing that I really cared about. The elite is sooooo nice on my 52" hdtv, lol.
 
Guess I'm gettin' pretty close to being the only person in the world who has their original 360 :o

I've still got mine, although lately it seems to be running a lot louder, which has me worried.

And I mean a lot louder. It sounds like a blender with a lawnmower in it.
 
So I am having a problem with my xbox as well. Similar to What some people here have said.

1. Won't read any game discs or Movie dvd's.
2. Freezes during Demos.

I'm not all that tech savvy with the system so I can't figure out how to clear the Cache.

help pls?
