I hate it when n00b leaders ask you to a party and then when you respond they say "Sorry, got someone else." I responded to this guy Naibara his tell within about a minute and he says I took too long to respond. What the hell? So he magically has an entire party put together in that minute or so and is ready to roll? Bullshit. Just to make sure I searched on him 10 minutes later and he was still in Jeuno. What a fucking prick.

This isnt the first time it has happened. Stuff like this you expect from people in the dunes or maybe jungle, /tell everyone their level range and pick up whoever responds first and say <^> you to whoever was left out.

Ugh.

Hm. perhaps that is the situation. Sometimes I've had to tell people I'm sorry. People make mistakes, perhaps a friend from the LS wanted to join the party or something like that, wouldn't you choose a friend over a random person in jeuno? It all truly depends on the scenario at had. But if he's just throwing out /tells like a machine and then inviting whoever sends a reply first, eh I wouldn't really agree with that, but I wouldn't hate him for it either. Some live in a first come first serve world, you know, the whole survival of the fittest thing.

I find i have more of a problem with noob leaders not knowing fuck all and making me die alot and ending up with less xp than i stared with...but i guess them not inviting you to their pts would be annoying too

Well, if they don't know what they're doing. Help them. Don't be up in their face and insulting or rude about it. The best way I can think of is to approach them like. "hey, Can I make a quick suggestion?" and if they get all noobtastic on you "lolz no u r teh suk" Well, at that point I would be annoyed. Of course, I've never came across many like that. Otherwise, I'd say tha most of the time if you approach them properly they would hear you out atleast.

All I'm getting at is, sit back and look at the bigger picture, not just "ZOMG MY EXPS"

You are one lucky bastard if you have encountered few people who will not accept advice. i encounter at least one in every party usually.

And i never said i did not help them. the problem is that they have generally made a shitty set up..what advice can i give? "kick this guy, this guy and this guy then replace them."...i'm sure that would help. i'm also sure i would be seeking again.

Besides which i'm not about to waste my XP teaching some asshat stuff i learned in the dunes.

Hm. I suppose I may have exaggerated the idea that everyone accepts advice, didn't mean it quite like that. I'm just saying that sure, a really good player can make a really good parter as they assemble. But it takes one HELL of a player to take an apparently shitty party that they come into, and turn it into something good.

But for the sake of no longer hi-jacking this thread, which I've just realized I'd done, yeah, he shouldn't have just not invited you without somewhat of a sincere apology.

Usually when I start making a party, if there's 2 or more people that could fill the same role, I ask one, wait a few moments, then if I get no reply I ask the next one, and so on until I get a reply.

I can understand if you're mad that you missed an invite, but on the other hand I'm not gonna sit around for 5 minutes or so waiting for person A to reply when I could just as easily have a good party by inviting person B instead. Especially if there's a chance that person B might get another party invite while I'm waiting for a reply from person A...

why cant there be a sound made when someone /tells you. I hate SE because they require you to be at your keyboard 100% of the time, virtually, if you want a pt invite.
