Well...everyone has their own playing styles. Personally I don't rely on dmg from pld. It's all in the cures, flash and ja's.

I GOT IT!!! I finally just figured it out. If you are a PLD and want to really deal some damage, sub DRK! :wink:

LFG as a 71PLD/35DRK, the invites will be overwhelming!!:banghead3:
 
why save 300tp just to do a lousy 800 or 900 dmg? with 3 ws I can do about 300-400(500+ if IM lucky) a pop so that’s about 900-1,500 dmg total!

I’m a hume PLD so I don’t have much hp but I do have about 366 mp my hp I think its about 1277 also I use a Spartan hoplon: enhancement phalanx!!!! with this I take about 0-60 dmg per hit and I hit back for about 60 dmg per hit. I’m not a complete idiot balance out my self I do not sacrifice much defense I keep my attack and defense high. Spartan Hoplon My new favorite toy!!!!!!!!!!! id say if ur a pld get one Its sweet! and sorry I cant get that much good stuff like the blood earrings that cost an arm and a leg. I play maybe 3 hrs a day no time to play on weekends. and I sure as hell don’t want to spend my time farming.. I done 2 BCNM 60 made 7mil that lasted me a while now to save another 60 beastman seals for another shot at few mil.

I often make thf SATA on another melee at start, and SC if its past 50%. its no problem keeping hate. Glad I never partyed with your pld, had to be hell for mage MP.

I know at 53 if food and defender is down, I take 90-100, with food and defender I take around 62 (31 on shiled blocks) often. Timer your TP when defender go down, flash, berserk, ws, cancle bersek.

Playing wrong job if you want to be a DD.

If i wanted to be DD i wouldnt care about my defense what im doing is trying to make the perfect blend of attack and defense trying to be a TANK(like a real tank) not a shield

You must just be a decent pld. please note that i use spatan hoplon which adds phalanx. with berserk active i still take 0-80 dmg
i bet u hit mobs for 10-30 dmg offten where i will hit for 40-50 offten.

i tried to go all defense no attack use food no spartan hoplon and i take that much dmg 70-100 with tacos
90-120 with attack gear berserk active

Also not all parties are in the ideal spots for the level some mobs have low defense high attack or high defense low attack example: you cant rip through crabs the way you do with with goblins:nono:

your still trying to play teh wrong role. get a clue. im in shame that you even carry one of the same jobs i do

whats the wrong role?? i out perform pld's that are higher levels than i am.
what do you do focus on all defense right? Thats the same crap im doing but im trying not to sacrafice dmg in the process. i think you need to step outside the box []

i dont have any defense gear other than af body. everything is hp. and i still have more hp than you without wearing any gear.
 
also, once you face an HNM or god, youll sing a new tune about the "wrong role" and thinking outside the box. youll be quick to jump back in the box

kinda like saying a monk will have more hp right? wrong. i surpass a majority of mnks with hp. and actually, i pass most mnks and hp (gear depending)
