I do mostly agree with you on your point though. A title from AV would have me grinning ear to ear. At least for a few weeks. But an item or two from AV would have me grinning ear to ear for the rest of my ffxi career.

Well since we are going back on topic, will VE agro a 53 THF? because I passed out one night camping that motherfucker and woke up in Aht Urgan Whitgate. I had full health when I passed out, because I was doing the stand around and /map >> widescan hunting method, and there is nothing there that will agro a 53. If so that bug better drop next time I get claim.
 
I was in greece for like 2 months earlier this year...it really was greek to me.

As far as "epic" fights go, they are exciting the first few times. After a couple they become just like killing rabbits in w. ron.

My first night of gods I was so excited, my heart was racing, same thing first kirin, and behemoth and adamantoise and w/e else there is. But now it's just a fight to get gear, not much more.

Tonight in Limbus we did the 3 kings, I got a tell from a friend "this is what it's all about", and I replied "this is kinda boring to me". I'm not even a Limbus vet, much of this game is the same thing over and over again, the rewards are what keep people motivated, not the fights.

Getting claim on NMs is pretty fun, and killing in front of an audience is still ok, but actually doing these things over and over gets redundant.

Totally agree with Shaunessy, especially considering that if you're in the alliance when AV dies, there's a 100% chance you get the title to show off. Unless you're in a damn well setup shell, chances are there's gonna be at least one person competiting with you for every drop, if you're allowed to lot any at all. And if the shell does it based on point bids and you're not THE highest in the shell, your chances pretty much fall thru the floor.

But I disgress; yes, VE (and Lizzy) suck. Even though I'm sorta 2/3 VE postpatch...
 
Heh, other day I got all ready to go camp him, show up, and VE is up, unclaimed, with no one around. I got off my chocobo and killed it. Pin dropped a moment later.

Whole process took about 5 minutes.
 
3/5 on drop (2 emperor's, 1 empress').

Haha I got him about 2 hours and 15 minutes after the intial kill and got drop. So oh well that was just lame the insect wing and all. LL isn't that bad went 1/2 on BB and I wasnt even on THF for that and I was PLD for VE and went 1/2 on that day. Times killing it I don't even know.

well at least Mr. Deggi pops.. but just don't drop... i don't even know if someone claims stray mary... i could be sitting out there in the highlands... in its gigantic spawn area. People could kill mary and you'd never know.. because you could be in another corner of the spawn area (which has happened). I've never camped Deggi.. too many people back in the day.

I hope you get his kotes one of these days trippy.

FUCK yeah man...I'm totally with ya on that one. Can't even tell you how many hours I would spend on him only to get 0-1 claim in a day, every day, for the longest time...and never got the drop 0/27
 
i have got mary like 6 times just runnin through. got the drop first time. sold it and went back to farm for skins and got drop again. mary is the kinda that people stumble upon.

I have a O Kote, but I didn't camp it. Screw that. I could pay for one no problem with smithing proffits in 1/100th of the time it would take to camp it and not get the drop 50 times.

VE and LL didn't take too awfully long... Good times.
 
Lol 1/2 on both but what made me so mad was I beat 2 other people who were closer to VE for claim on the first try and got the wing. 2nd try I beat Aeronine when he had daggers drawn and I turned saw voked kill and drop. So I suppose I have luck I didn't have TH either.

As for stray mary bst or rng ftw Wide Scan go!
