So yea...

I get a tell from Neosquall about 30 mins before I have to go to limbus "I've popped Chary, get your ass down here" or something to that effect. I tell him (sadly) that I can't because Wednesday is the only day that I can go to limbus and I HATE ditching events. He said it might still be there when I was done so he was going to wait. Well after limbus I shoot him a tell and it is. I start heading there on my WHM (he's a 73 NIN) and get two other friends, Sinhard (75PLD/RDM) and Justarius (70COR/WHM) come down. Well about 1/4 of the way through, Neo gets 1 shotted and we wipe.

All very forelorn because we couldn't find a bard for the life of us, I get Kirutaru to come down and to please hurry (my mother was going to be at my place in 30 minutes because I had choir - yea choir, shut up). We get it down to about 10% very easily and my apartment buzzer rings. They tell me to make sure I have inventory space. I give Sinhard Devotion and at about 7% I'm out the door.

The fact that these people stayed even though I had to go just because they know I've wanted this for over a year... Makes them some of the best people I know in game. If I had photobucket I'd post the SS of him dying and the Joyeuse dropping into my inventory. But you'll just have to take my word for it.

Very nice. I had a similar experience around 40 with my sam when I was camping my Jujitsu Gi with some friends. I had been camping Poisonhand for over a month, and I got some guys from my ls to come help me. Sure enough, he pops and right when I engage...I dc. But I couldn't get back on for 20 mins. I come back and they're all still there and they go: "Miru, check the treasure pool" and I'm all like "holy shit" and it was awesome.
