I am seriously considering buying a few million. I used to be so against it... I felt that it cheapened the game experience. Then I realized that the economy that SE created is like quick sand. The more you get involved, the more money you need. The more money you get, the more you get involved.
Take my current situation, crafting Goldsmithing and Alchemy. Goldsmithing... yeah huge investment in capital, expensive failures... and pretty soon it will be sucking millions from me. Alchemy... I am to a point where I need to invest heavily and I am going to start synthing with $100,000 materials and shit. I just can't skill up like that. What this has led me to is leveling yet MORE crafts so I can hit up the few high level dual craft synths. The vicious cycle is in full swing.
But but wait it gets worse!! Being a RNG/NIN is a complete gil drain. Every shot I fire out of my gun is 80g gone. And I fire 150 times per hour, not counting Shihei... I spend over $60,000 for 5 hours of XP. And the fact that I am ALREADY wearing 1.5 million in equipment, in 5 levels I MUST purchase 1.9 million more for Amemit's +1 and Spectacles. And I don't even fucking have Snipers rings! Add another million in back equipment... What will save me is selling some of my old equipment when I get my AF...
But I am getting sick of it. I am seriously considering throwing down $100 to get a 1-2 million to support what I already have. That might get my crafts situated to where they can sustain me.
Not saying I am going to...but damn is it tempting...
