Dear QCDN Readers,
My name is Kam and I am Team Manager of I-KEA.COM. I have kindly asked Tamsin to pass on my message concerning the development of our website.
We are looking for volunteers to help out with the production of the site because quite frankly, our team of three has now dropped to just myself. They had other pressing things and did not have enough time to dedicate to the project.
What we are looking for is people with moderate web/programming background and/or site administrators but if you would like to contribute to the project please do come forward.
The website in its state uses the Microsoft.NET Platform and an SQL2000 database. We have found it to be fairly slow going in terms of performance and are not getting a lot of support from the original developer.
We are looking to port to PHP but have not made a solid decision at this time. We are testing a system located at http://www.i-kea.com/2005 which is Classic ASP based and seems a lot faster in terms of response time.
If anyone is willing to volunteer and help the I-KEA project, we would be very greatful.
Please contact me by email at [email protected] or on MSN far2brite. Please use reference "IKEADEV" so I know where you are coming from. I get a lot of emails and things to respond to.
Thank you for reading.
