guys where's the thread for areas that nins can solo??
i mean i love parties and can always find one but i really wanna learn the ins and outs of nin and feel that the best way to go about that would be to kinda go anon/away and just skill up ninjitsu. granted i did this in crawlers nest at 37 nin/dnc and had a blast but i really wanna utilize/learn the strengths and weaknesses of nin...
it's my next job to 75 (currently 47)
but ppl tell me to just party because i'll learn better as a full party's tank than if it's just me and my npc.
nothing beats the excitement of having ur npc tell u she's outta mp when u've just been slowed and the worker gets a double attack lol
if u've got any advice please post it on the thread.

Should be able the same as Black Mage solo places. Check the Black Mage guide, maybe there are some camps that will work for Ninja.

Solo NIN

It's basically whatever you feel comfortorable soloing. In my experiences it's usually best to avoid casting enemies due to ga spells. I soloed a lot on ninja throughout the whole level range, you will develop certain mobs you may prefer or feel better with; then again you will find challenging mobs that will keep you on your toes. So just go for it, as you experiment you will find your niche for soloing.

I agree with Drucian, I solo'ed from 39-54 with a couple xp pts in the mix but, its definitely thinks its what you feel comfortable with. I did crawlers nest and some crabs here in there. You can learn a lot in XP pts but when the time comes soloing and you dont have a healer or npc and your stuck in a critical moment with timing your shadows and everything soloing really helps with that aspect.

Stick to EM mobs that way you can still get chain 4s and keep your skills capped with relative ease. And if you do it in Conquest areas you get the EVA and ACC bonuses from signet. Don't fight anything that is a BLM, MNK or RNG type mob as they can eat through shadows pretty fast. BST and SMN types are no good either, unless you plan on killing the BST pets only.

lesser colibri ftw!! lol

Update: nin is 75

I'm finally here but wondering which main hand would be the best. Perdu Blade, Fudo, Unji, however all sound nice. I was thinking there had to be some insanely powerful wep for nin that recently came out with an update or something.

P.S. tanked charby on thf the other day and it was a blast!

Is your mainhand weapon.

No one's 100% sure whether or not the +Crit% works within the WS. I don't think it's really been settled yet. Leaving a choice of either Fudo or Senji as mainhand. You have to decide if the 3% more crit is worth losing 1 base damage during DoT.

I personally use Senji mainhand. Never had the time or patience to play around with anything else.

This has been proven time and time again.

And even if it hadn't, why would it be any different than any other stat in the game? All other stats on your main weapon work during WS so there's really no reason crit wouldn't.

Personally I found Fields of Valor to be great for soloing any job, I took my 73 Ninja to sky and did the birds and pots there got great skill ups and exp, enemys were dc to t by 75. .

i soloed with nin/dnc using decent eva gear, you can solo tough and VT sometimes just takes long. in the case of a tough mob or so, i chose ones that hit slow and did not have aoe to strip shadows. i'd say just avoid mnk and mage mobs. enfeebles help a ton to btw. tanking just gets you used to counting shadows and timing. since your fighting IT mobs, basically like hard nm's you might want to try solo at 75. have fun
