Was in a party today with a Corsair, who had a level 30 gun, iron bullets, using an Anubus Knife as their main weapon. Doing Evisceration as their weapon skill. They wore no racc gear and it was purely all str gear. He didn't have all his rolls either, and he's a level 70 Corsair. When asked for a Dancer's Roll he said whats that? He didn't know of Dancer's or Scholar's Roll. He also didn't have a Luzaf's Ring.

I tried to reason with him in /tells and he didn't seem like he knew about lucky rolls, as he's just roll whatever, usually too little. His excuse was "I like to play for fun..."

I'm sorry, I like to play for fun too, but don't spoil a party's fun with your gimpness.

He said my other party booted me cause I didn't use Slug Shot.

I can see why. I told him that i play for fun as well, and to the best of my ability to maximize my fun, and offer advice to others if I see an area of improvement.

I know I ain't the GOD of Corsairness, or any other job I play, but man... :2cents:

I play for fun too, but I find fun in realizing that my gear and skill is above that of 90% of the other players at my level range (no, I'm not counting merit parties)

He's probably not really having fun, no one really enjoys leveling up anymore anyway.

The only people who use that excuse are those who are too stupid to know how to play correctly. Playing for fun does not mean playing wrong, and only idiots think that their fun is an excuse to now know how to play worth a damn.
 
Mrkiller sounds like i name i've seen around on other jobs. i think that Tok is right. probably a sold and bought character. this guy is an elvaan right? the picture of a PLD
 
I agree, there's a difference between enjoying the game without being the best geared and being ineffective.

Sounds rather odd that he made it that far, getting 70 or even 60 back in the day was a golden accomplishment...

I'm going to go with the bought char idea as well
 
Yeah he has other jobs. I used to know him when he was a Thief. Now I don't know if it's him or not. But I would hope it's not the same person.

I think that it has to be a bought character, because I remember partying with him on my Samurai and he had a lot of nice gear on his ninja so I couldn't picture that MrKiller having that gimped gear.

He should probably go and play something that caters better for his laziness.

Yes, I agree with people when they say the play the game for fun because its a game, and thats why games are played. No, I don't agree with pricks like him who use "I play it for fun" as an excuse to be shit :)

Don't know him, don't care to find out, and I play for fun, like everyone else who plays this game. At least be a little original in your excuses.
 
I don't know if Mrkiller is a bought Character I have seen him around for a while, he has a 75 ninja and is the Kursed LS. His ninja is not very impressive. Hes a nice guy though, but from what your telling a Nice-Gimp.

At least you offered advice instead of the normal player, who starts out with the "your a gimp" tells and later calls that "advice"

After you offer constructive criticism theres not much you can do after that. Let him play gimp and enjoy at the fact that everyone is laughing at him.
 
You know, it's been my experience that nice people have enough consideration for others that they don't drag down a party with gear that's 40 levels behind. At level 70 COR should at least have a Shark Gun (free with ISP) or at the absolute worst the Trump Gun, their level 40 AF that they get for free from a quest so easy it's stupid.
 
I need to get my rank up so I can get that ring. My only excuse that I dont know some of this gear exsists. XD
 
Think of this as some random sport or game that involves teams.


"Playing for fun is great and all but nobody wants to be on the same team as the crippled kid.
