I love Salary pay!

Well, with salary pay you are limited to so many hours in a work week/pay period. Last week I put in 22 hours too many so I get to leave today after my first airshift and automate my second airshift.

Good thing is I was ALSO scheduled to work tomorrow for my rotating weekend shift and guess what?, don't have to do that either!

So...I get an extended weekend for once (almost forgot what a weekend was).

Damn I love this shit.

I am excited so I figured I would share this with you.

The only thing that allows me to go home is that I am hourly. If I was salary they would never let me leave. 1.5 pay over 40 hours and 2X pay on Sundays owns. :twisted:

Yeah, not sure why the people you work for haven't caught on yet Mohoso, but salary = you work till the work is done, no matter how many hours.

New laws in Arizona prevent that.

That is why I like it sooo much.

Yeah core hour base for a week is 43 hours max.

Anything over that, then there is a compensation package which gets quite steep for the owners so they make sure we don't go over.

My company is just a shave away from slavery.
When work is slow, the field people are gone by 9:00 AM. However, a few key office people (read:me) have too damn many responsibilties to ever get to leave early.

I currently am in charge of : (/rant on)

1) 60 miles of buried fiber optic in SE wisconsin
2) A fleet of vehicles 40 strong
3) A safety department that until my transfer from field to office,never
existed
4) The scheduling and co-ordination of projects that range from 10k to 2+ million.

So, I end up doing 4 jobs 1/2 assed instead of being able to accel at just 1
