I need help with Itunes.

I just bought a Ipod touch. I had an old Ipod nano 1gig. Now for some reason I can not add a movie to my Ipod Touch. I've tried restoring it and making it a new ipod but that doesnt work. Are you sure it's in a compatible format? I don't know if Itunes will play more file formats than the actual ipods will.

It is in correct form MP4.

It might be in mp4 format, but encoded differently.

it has nothing to do with that. its acting as if my itunes is one music data base and my ipod touch is another data base. Like they are two seperate itunes.

Stupid question but the ipod touch and itunes are updated software wise to be compatible? No idea if that matters for ipod since I hate majority of Apple products but given your last statement that's what it sounds like.
